Irons feel great and are so pure when you hit the sweet spot. I was looking to replace my Taylormade Tour Preferred 2009 irons. Never thought about Srixon before but one of the guys working at the local PGAST told me to give them a try. it was a whole new world in terms of contact and feeling when compared to newer taylormade irons, and only the Titleist forged irons could compare. He worked with me to find the right shafts and lie angle to order custom which I appreciate because now I'm hitting small draws more consistently and minimizing my tendency to overcook it left. The few rounds I've played, I've saved 2-3 strokes compared to my outdated irons. Couldn't be happier with the upgrade, plus they look great in the bag.

Worked on testing irons for about a year. Tested 790’s way to hot, 770 less hot but much like the 790, 7MC a nice club but the feel was a little hard and found dispersion to be more than the Srixons. JPX921’s were like butter but like the 7MC’s the dispersion was inconsistent. Finally narrowed it down with two days of track man testing with the zx5 and zx7 and the zx5 was as soft as the JPX 921 but less dispersion but was extremely hot (5 iron rolled out 206). While the zx7 wasn’t as soft as the zx5 it was tight on dispersion and about 13 yards hotter that my older taylormade MC’s but night and day with forgiveness. Have had three nines with them and still working on the extra distance but I have managed three 9’s at 1 over and 2 at even. I knew that a newer club ... MoreWorked on testing irons for about a year. Have been a full bag Taylormade player for many years but the feel and the stats from Carl’s track man just didn’t lie. Awesome irons..

I am in love with these irons. I read an article saying to try these out. Golf Digest gave them a good review. So I hit them. So glad I did. Fell in love after a few shots. Coming from Callaway irons that I loved (XForged) and these blow those away. Awesome feel. Workable. Highly recommended!

Great Set
26 April 2021

Have only been able to use these once so far. But they are more forgiving than one might expect. Requires higher club speed to get the correct loft. With the smaller head size, you need to focus even more on your swing. The clubs immediately let you know if you hit it dead center or anything else. When you hit the sweet spot these the ball fly true and straight.

Great irons not just for scratch golfers
15 June 2021

I’m coming back from a long injury lay-off (elbows), and putting my swing back in order. Decided to get new irons as I wasn’t really getting along with the ones I had when I stopped playing. Being a mostly low-mid 80s shooter (though I was down to single digit handicap before the injuries), the ZX5 seemed the obvious choice. I ordered a 7i to test in a spec close to what I’d been fitted in before. Got the club, liked it but was curious about the ZX7 so I ordered an 8i in that to test. All my hitting is off grass - I’ve sworn off mats. I actually found that I hit the ZX7 better than the ZX5. I slowly filled in both sets, and after more testing (and a swing coach session), I’ve settled on ZX7 in 6-AW. Have a ZX5 5i but may switch to hybrid for that as I’m not getting ... MoreI’m coming back from a long injury lay-off (elbows), and putting my swing back in order. But bottom line is that all the ZX irons are awesome if your swing fits them, and don’t be scared by the ZX7 - try it!

Left Handed A Wedge Needed!
26 January 2023

Love the ZX7s! As a left hander my only complaint is the lack of A Wedge. My PW is 130-135 and struggle to find a Gap wedge to fit the 110-120 range. I've tried every brand of 50 degree wedge and the consistency is not as good, especially on the 120 shot. Gap wedges spin and balloon trying to swing hard. Choking down the PW from that distance is awkward and tends to still go over 120. Please, Please create an A wedge ZX7 in Left hand! Can you loft up the PW 3-4 degrees ????

Love love love these irons
28 November 2022

Got fitted at the store for these irons and they are incredible. I had Srixon z765s before so this was just an upgrade. If you are a better player looking for slightly more distance these clubs would be great for you. Not to mention how soft they feel. Take my money Srixon!

Pleased with new pitching wedge
14 June 2022

Srixon ZX7 pitching wedge is a delight. Nice balance, wonderful feel. The Nippon Modus 120 stiff shaft has a nice lively and controllable response. This is a superior club from my others, frankly, and I love pulling it from my bag. Fun and accurate. Having lived and worked in Japan, I have much faith in clubs made there. I respect the attention to detail.

Truly great irons
16 June 2021

The ball jumps off these clubs. Longer and straighter than my old AP1's. And when you need to take something off, they are very responsive. Knock downs, maybe little cuts to add spin...they really deliver. Wonderful combination of feel and distance. I bought these on line with no test, and I have been completely satisfied. These are great players irons.
