I bought a Stanley Fatmax 24 inch level about 15 years ago for a renovation I was doing then. Presently, I'm doing another renovation and am using that same one for a tile job I'm doing in another office. The vial liquid is faded after all these years and being out in the sun but the level is still true and accurate. Due to how well this level still works after all these years I decided to purchase another one for framing. The Stanley Fatmax line of Stanley levels is manufactured for use in trades and contractor work. With that being said I highly recommend this level for DIYers as well.

I got this level on a sale, so it was under $15. For that price, I have been very pleased. I've used a lot of different levels, and I trust this one. It is built solid. I've had mine for over a year, and its seen some good use. I'm tempted to buy another, just in case they don't sell them anymore by the time I lose or break this one. Here are some of its nice features:-The horizontal level glass is positioned on the corner of the top and front faces, allowing you to easily view the level from the top or the front.-Plastic/Rubber bumpers on ends are removable for when you need a straight edge all the way to the corner.-Relatively sharp corner allows you to draw precise pencil lines.

Super awesome level. The end caps protect the level in the event that it gets dropped. The machined edges are straight as can be. The only thing that I feel is a problem with this level is that it can be hard to see the bubble in low light.

The level has a very sturdy construction. It has an aluminum construction with rubber padding on the ends. The three vials are placed perfectly to make it easy to read on either side. The grip is big and easy to hold/carry. Depending your needs, I believe there is a magnetic version.
This level is exactly the quality you would expect from Stanley Tools. This level has good balance. Feels good in your hand. I like having the site where you can see it from the top so when you are leveling something lower than you are standing you do not have to bend over. Excellent!
Very nice level, especially for the price. I'm fifty and have had some years to observe Stanley tools. They used to be low grade but in recent years they have upped their game. This level works well. I like the design. You can read the bubble from top or side. It is heavy duty. Great ergonomics - the hand-holds are well done. Great bargain!
The Stanley 600mm level is a game-changer, boasting exceptional build quality, precision, and durability. Its robust frame ensure durability and clear readings, while ergonomic designed rubber hand holds enhances comfort. A top-read window adds convenience, making it a must-have for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts. Highly recommended for accuracy and reliability.
I bought this level from Ace when they had it on sale for $10. I've used it a bunch. There really isn't a ton to say about a level, but it works! Mine is very accurate (shows same level when flipped 180 degrees). It seems like a solid build, but it's lightweight. The rubber ends can be removed to allow you to get a continuous straight edge all the way to the corners. If anything ever happens to my level, I will be being the same one again.
I recently bought the 48 inch version of this. I was impressed with the quality I decided to ditch my older level and get this 24 inch. First of all the color makes it easy to find. Second, the rubber end caps protects this level from damage. The open view of the top vials ensures easy reading. Love it.
Best Levels!! I have the 24, 48 and 72 in. They are long lasting/high quality because I've had these for a long as I can remember and they're still going strong!! I also have a magnetic torpedo which comes in handy often in the shop. I love that Stanley has a variety of levels to cover a wide range of jobs because I use all four of mine often and even sometimes have to use multiple levels of different sizes on a single job.
