Ordered a pivot pole and the ethernet adapter 3 days ago and just got notification they have cleared NZ customs so really fast delivery.

Excellent price, great to have a local supplier!

Starlink is a true game changer. I give it a solid five-star rating. What a fantastic technological advancement in the realm of internet connectivity!

I live on a remote atoll in the south Pacific so you can imagine how revolutionary this piece of equipment isSurprised how robust the dish is as I have had a few cricket balls hit it on front and sides. This must be owing to its US manufacturing and design all made in the USANormally you would only need about 20mbps for your standard internet browsing but with speeds up to 300mpbs Starlink really does offer more than needed bandwidth, unless you are a hardcore gamer or prolific downloaderThe Starlink mobile app contains most features so you would need your own dedicated mobile device. Would have been more helpful to have a web based applicationNeeds a bit of help though as the router features are too basic and you have to get an ethernet adapter if you want ... MoreI live on a remote atoll in the south Pacific so you can imagine how revolutionary this piece of equipment isSurprised how robust the dish is as I have had a few cricket balls hit it on front and sides. I live in the mountains and only had access to broadband shared amongst those who live in my neighborhood. It’s a signal bounced between satellites with one house serving as a central hub for dish communications. I gave Starlink a chance and it’s completely exceeded my expectations. The satellite receiver has obstructions in its FOV (reference photo) and is still providing 125+ mbps upload with anywhere from 8-20 mbps download. I stream on multiple platforms while gaming with music running in the background. I’ve even ran the receiver off a generator while hunting to make calls on Wi-Fi and check in on work emails. You’re paying for flexibility to access. 11/10.Note: I’m using the standard receiver and service. At best, your last option. If you have good signals for 5G service with Tmo or VZ home internet, they are a much better option for speed and lower cost; especially upfront costs for equipment. I have had SLink for a year and a half. Replacing a grandfathered ATT unl 4G home internet modem that was SOLID on connections, but much slower. In many ways, it actually was better. My speeds have dropped. My connection drops several times a day on Fubo, and Philo, and it drops constantly, like minutes in on Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix. I am in an optimal location in rural NW WA, with a clear view of N sky and a mounted dish. I still get drops and loss of signal. It will drop to the 40's or less evenings. It used to be in the 200 MBS range during demand times. The good? Easy Setup, except for figuring and doing the dish mounting, placing it on the ground in front of my house wasn't an ideal situation but allowed me to evaluate if I wanted to keep it or return it. FORTUNATELY, after 25 years at my home our local PUD is bringing finally bringing fiber service to my front door by the end of the year. Then I will quit Starlink.

We are currently trying the easy route without drilling through an exterior to interior wall. One kiddo (the gamer) at the back of the house has a great signal. The other does not. However she leaves for college in two weeks so I am not sure we will move it since it is working for everyone else. This is a 1200 sq ft single level ranch. The signal is currently penetrating three drywall/wood walls and a bookcase to get to her room. The gamer has only two walls to get through to the signal.

I ordered Starlink on June 09, 2023 and received it June 13, 2023, so the shipping time didn't take too long. I believe the wait time from Starlink may be a bit longer. It took us about a week to be able to put up the dish, due to the size of the ladder that was needed to acquire to put it on the the roof. You have to install the dish yourself or hire someone to do it. The dish DOES NOT come with a mounting kit and DOES NOT have any Ethernet ports, you have to purchase both accessories separately. The best place to buy these items beforehand is from Amazon, but it will cost you two to three times the amount. If you're not in a hurry, just order it from Starlink because it's cheaper. Once the dish was up and running, the speeds OBSERVED speeds were comparably low to what would be seen on a gigablast service. However, the performance overall is pretty good. We had a gigablast service prior to switching to Starlink. Although the numbers can be deceiving, had I not been present for the installation, I would have not known there was any switch in my service. I have had starlink for about 7 days now and I can only attest to one evening where I had problems uploading certain streaming services on my living room TV, which is run using Wi-Fi. I would highly recommend bypassing the Starlink router and using a newer mesh Wi-Fi network to attain higher speeds of Wi-Fi throughout the home. If you are not a tech savvy person, I would definitely recommend hiring somebody to install the dish and set up your Wi-Fi network if bypassing the Starlink router. So far I am happy with the performance of the Starlink service.

I love this product and it works amazing, but my only problem with it is when I received it, it was clearly used. I called to complain that it was used so BestBuy sent me another one. And when I received the second one, it was way worse than the first one and had a chip in the antenna like a rock was thrown at it. I ended up returning the second one and kept the first one that I got. If someone is spending over $700 on a product, it needs to be a brand spanking new one. Not shipping off used product without telling customers that it is used. Especially when there is no mention of it ANYWHERE in the description. It’s false advertisement. If it wasn’t for that, I would’ve given it 5 stars.
