I use this on a MacBook Pro that has no built in ethernet port. A bit of a step up in speed over the wifi if your network gear will make use of it.

Just Works!! No drivers needed for macOS!! I got this to use with my late 2016 MacBook Pro 13. Other adapters I've tried require drivers... these drivers tend to cause other issues. This unit needs no drives, all I had to do is plug it in! The only drawback I see is that it doesn't have a link light, but the link is visible in the macOS network preferences. Let me know if any questions.

Provides more stable connection with less dropouts. Extremely good value for a branded make.
This works well for devices that need an ethernet adapter and have a USB C connector. I was able to use it successfully to connect an android phone running Android 11 with no issues or other software needed. It did NOT work work on a phone running Android 10.
It works fine on our Microsoft Surface Go II tablets.
Works great when it works, which is most of the time. On long transfers it dies, so I was unable to use it to run backups across my internal network, and when the system goes to sleep, the network sometimes doesn't work after the system wakes up unless you unplug it and plug it back in. Tested on Windows 10 on an ASUS laptop.
