I've had the staub grill for a number of years, perhaps seven? It's an essential in my kitchen to seal meat and then put directly in the oven to finish off. Perfect for asparagus too!Warm up gradually on a medium heat and apply a little bit of oil with silicone pastry brush. Oh and no need to clean after (and never put a hot grill in cold water it will crack). It really is amazing.I considered another famous French brand but could see no reason for the price premium the other brand charges.None of my siblings have this, nor did my parents. It's a way of cooking I'm happy to call my own.

I was so excited to purchase this size 12inch pan I opened it up followed the care instructions and cooked on it that night. I cooked 2 hamburger patties on medium heat. My pan was smoking a lot I didn't think much of it until I went to wash it there was black coming off and it wasn't the burger...when I finished cleaning it I noticed that blk was the coating, I'm so torn as what to do, if I keep it and it continues it will be useless and that was a lot of money to me! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I absolutely love my Staub Grill pans! This is my second grill skillet purchase. I would have preferred to have the pour spouts as I have on my first grill skillet, but this is still the best cookware ever! This is my fifth Staub purchase, and I love to use this cookware to prepare delicious, healthy meals everyday. Now, I have a second skillet to use when I have guests. I enjoy placing my food in the oven and moving on to other tasks. The best carefree cookware ever! I highly recommend Staub Cookware!
Love it!Minus 20 degrees celcius is a bit chilly for outdoor BBQ IMO so we decided to try indoor grilling with this grill pan as an alternative. Grills veggies and meat nicely on medium heat. The pan is heavy and handle gets very hot so keep an oven mitt handy. 5 Stars!
We are using our 12” cast iron grill pan on our portable induction burner for outdoor Korean bbq. It’s been incredible. Seers and cooks meet to perfect tenderness and great flavor.Clean up is a breeze. Can’t wait to try the grill press we purchased with it.
Best price around if you aren't looking for the panini press option. This is one substantial grill and before buying you need to prepare for it's arrival. Too heavy to hang (unless you are sure your pot rack it extremely secure), can be stored in a cold oven but needs a landing place when oven is in use. Extremely heavy and unless you lift weights, make sure you grab this grill with both hands. After cooking, it must cool down where no one can accidentally touch it. This is a serious piece of cookware and I love it dearly. Once the grill has cooled it can be soaked in soapy hot water. What doesn't release in the soaking process will flake off when left to dry. No need to baby this baby, it can take anything you throw on it.
