Staub Enamelled Cast Iron La Mer Oval Fish Dish 32cm Blue

This gratin/casserole dish from Staub performs beautifully, and the La Mer colour is simply STUNNING. With the superior enamelling layers it will give cooking satisfaction for my lifetime and more. Staub casserole looks as great as it performs, and the inside enamelling provides excellent browning, and cleans up easily with soap and water.

A gorgeous pan that is perfect for baking or pan frying fish. The lid has self-basting Chistera spikes on the interior which collect and return all moisture back into dish - nothing dries out and the food stays moist. The heat capability of the pan is amazing - heats up quickly, evenly and retains heat exceptionally well. The fish design on the top of the pan is beautiful and so unique.

This is a beautiful and useful dish. The design is extremely practical—easy to use and wash (after overnight soaking in water). It is also excellent for reheating food as its heavy construction retains heat well. My other Staub pots and braiser look great after several years of use. The staff at Nordic Nest were extraordinarily helpful in getting this to me in the UK despite the constraints of COVID and Brexit.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I love it so much I then ordered another for my daughter. It is brilliant to use. And so stunning to look at. It’s also fabulous to put salads or pasta in and place it on the table. I love the brand. And the quality.

This is a beautifully crafted product. Expensive, yes. But an object of beauty that is also hardy and well made and will hopefully last a lifetime. Can go from stove to oven to grace a dining table.

Awesome vessel for cooking fish but can also be used for au gratins, pasta dishes and desserts. The fish debossed design on the lid is stunning. Staub cast iron is surrounded by 3 layers on enamel on the interior and 3 layers of a beautiful glaze on the exterior. No need to season these pots and they can even go in the dishwasher if necessary. Interior is slightly textured for a perfect brown or sear and easy release. The lids have continuous basting beads for a consistently moist environment during cooking. No wonder restaurants prefer to cook in Staub. This pot will not disappoint.

Beautiful color

This is the perfect serving dish for casseroles, gratins, and ratatouille recipes. The fish embossed on the lid is perfect for anyone who likes a maritime theme or making seafood dishes; also the fish goes really well with the color La Mer since it means "The Sea" in French. With it being cast iron, the gratin does a great job heating up easily and evenly; it’s also versatile in that it can go from oven to table to fridge with no issue. A great dish to have for serving great meals.

Incredibly beautiful

This is a stunning dish with the embossed fish and deep green color. As with all Staub cast iron, the colors are deep, rich and incredibly chip resistant. It's ideal for casseroles, vegetables, fish or desserts. The enameled interior is also chip resistance and browns beautifully. Clean up is a breeze. The heavy lid fits tightly and has self basting "dimples" that help keep foods moist.
