This is just what we needed. We have made beef and broccoli, chicken breasts with curry, and just veggies for a side. I like that the lid is glass, so that you can keep an eye on what's cooking without removing the lid. This pan is very versatile and I can't wait to use it for preparing meals this Fall and Winter!

Even though this pan is a wok, I find it to be a terrific deep fryer. The sides are high enough to heat up a quart of oil which means I can use it for homemade donuts, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, and any and every item needed for football season.The cast iron keeps the heat at an even temperature, which prevents greasy and soggy fried foods. The size is perfect for batch frying, and comes with a great rack to set the fried food on to let drain back in the pain.Loves this pan, and also a great wok.
The wok heats up very well and loves that searing taste that the Chinese would call 'Wok Hei' when using the traditional wok. It's so easy to make stews, curries and pasta sauce in this wok shaped pan. Combine ingredients and simmer until you bring it to the table for the family to enjoy together. I just received my perfect pan and I’m quite impressed. It holds a larger amount of volume than the regular French oven. Used it for turmeric risotto and yet it was so easy to clean. I’m only giving 4 stars due to the lid. As compared to other Staub products, it seems they have cut costs on the lid quality, which is flimsy and I don’t like the metal rim which seems cheap. I would rather they include the dome lid with it.
