Literally the best travel mouse I've ever bought. It is the lightest in weight I've used. The battery life on a single charge is amazing; well over 3 weeks of 6 hr daily use and still going on the initial charge. The ergonomic fit for my hand shape is surprisingly comfortable, in some ways even better than the Logitech Mx series. The LED lights are bright and colorful but not necessary; a switch to turn them off would be nice, maybe even be able to extend battery even longer. The holes on the topside of the mouse made it lighter likely but I'm afraid dust and dirt will get in; this is the one thing I don't like about this mouse.

Truthfully it is sad to see SteelSeries fall, but I would not buy this mouse unless you plan on immediately swapping the feet and using no rgb, and then you can find similar mice cheaper and lighter at the same price point. This mouse should cost $10 for the amount of issues it has.

Great mouse. I got it to pair with my MacBook Pro as well as my PC and an option for at work. I needed a mouse which was able to utilize bluetooth so I wouldn't need to dongle my laptop or worry about it at work. It actually works great for going between my laptop and gaming PC. The laptop I can use the bluetooth. For gaming I keep the dongle attached to the PC and just hit the switch to change back and fourth between the two. Works within a couple seconds. Very light mouse and comfortable. I am coming from an old Rival 300 which I wore the rubber out with my thumb and pinky over the last 6 years. Responsiveness seems fine with the Bluetooth, but I use the dongle for when I'm gaming for the faster response time. Also this mouse is insanely light and has a great auto off/on feature so you don't need to worry about ever turning it off or always needing to flip a switch to use it again.

I bought this as a replacement for another wireless gaming mouse that got the "double click issue" it was known for. The Aerox 3 mouse is ultra light, the skates are super smooth, and the mechanical switches for all the buttons are the quality I want in a gaming mouse. The drawbacks are the battery life and the bluetooth functionality.Steelseries puts the battery life at 200 hours but I think this is only if you use bluetooth. I'd say the 2.4 GHz connection doesn't last me more than 48 hours of true run time before I see the battery getting critically low. This may be an acceptable amount of time but I was spoiled by the battery life of competitor mice. Those who are fine with using bluetooth for a longer battery life should note that the bluetooth settings are pretty disappointing. The following is directly from the Steelseries bluetooth settings "Note: Settings for Angle Snapping, Acceleration / Deceleration, Illumination and button bindings (except keyboard button and mouse button bindings) will return to defaults while your Aerox 3 Wireless is in Bluetooth mode. Polling rate will be set to 125 HZ."Essentially, you can't change the illumination so you're stuck with the default rainbow colors, you get a much lower accuracy of mouse movement (this would only be noticeable in high accuracy video games), and the button bindings get reset to default.TLDR; This is a good mouse with a below average battery life that should never be used in bluetooth mode.
I play FF14 so I like using a MMO mouse. I saw this and decided to give it a try. It's a good mouse. Buttons are nice, it's fairly light weight considering it's wireless and has the extra buttons. Battery life seems good, easily switches from wired and wireless if battery runs low. Glides along my mouse pad nicely. I only have two minor complaints. 1st I'm used to using a mouse that has two buttons right behind the scroll wheel and this one only has 1, found that to be an odd design choice. 2nd it takes a while to set up and install the software and firmware. Again minor complaints. I was using the Wired Razer Trinity Naga and I like the SteelSeries mouse better.
Im have purchased almost every ""Razer naga"" like mouse that has slowly come out on the market through the years. as this new phase of light mice grows i actually found myself really liking the ultra light feel of mice like this, unfortunately got into a habit of using the MMO style 12 button mice. That being said the buttons are unnaturally stiff. to the point where im debating just going back to my naga and returning this or just sucking it up and getting used to it. Along with the insanely stiff side buttons they are layed out in an extremely long layout. Almost all other naga type mice i have used have been in a similar layout that it took no time to get used to. this one feels really quite weird. im also getting weird micro disconnections / the mouse feels ... MoreIm have purchased almost every ""Razer naga"" like mouse that has slowly come out on the market through the years. as this new phase of light mice grows i actually found myself really liking the ultra light feel of mice like this, unfortunately got into a habit of using the MMO style 12 button mice. Almost all other naga type mice i have used have been in a similar layout that it took no time to get used to. this one feels really quite weird. im also getting weird micro disconnections / the mouse feels laggy in wireless mode if i plug the dongle directly into a USBC on my computer. It comes with an adapter to make the dongle be able to sit closer to the mouse but i dont love that i may HAVE to use that. i really really kind of hate how stiff the buttons are. I understand you dont want to accidently press them but that was never an issue with any other mouse similar to this one. if im playing a shooter i almost have to press hard enought to the point where my aim might shift cause i am switching a weapon or something. Maybe they take time to break in but be weary if you are switching from a naga / corsair Scimitar / or logitech G600
Nice mouse in general. I like the feel in the hands, the very light weight, and the styling. Texture is grippy enough without any annoying (in my opinion) rubberized/""soft touch"" coatings. Construction seems pretty solid (no major weak points that I've noticed), though the buttons could be tighter and the scroll wheel a bit less mushy. The connectivity options are really good - proprietary wireless, Bluetooth, and wired. When plugged in, the mouse shows up as an actual wired mouse, and works even when the switch on the bottom is ""off"" - this is excellent, as I really like having a backup in case of wireless interference/issues/etc. The receiver is USB-C (nice!), and the included braided cable is quite flexible and nice (isn't quite as flexible as certain other ... MoreNice mouse in general. A female-female USB-C extension adapter is also included so you can position the receiver better (or use it with USB-A). There are some very important caveats I wish I knew before buying though: 1) Steelseries changed their software from the relatively lightweight Engine to the bloated and obnoxious ""GG"" - boo! 2) RGB settings *cannot* be saved to the mouse's memory - you must be running the aforementioned awful software in the background to get any RGB other than the default. Settings like DPI *are* saved to the mouse, and you *can* completely turn off the RGB, and that seems to save as well 3) The 200 hour or whatever battery claim is even more inflated than I thought. The mouse will flash green/yellow/red when you wake it up to tell you about the battery level, which is nice, but I found between first appearance of yellow and stone dead is <3 hours, which isn't really a lot of warning! 4) RGB has coil whine at many settings - its pretty quiet if you have the LEDs dimmed or some of the zones turned off though. Silent with no RGB 5) *Most Importantly* The proprietary wireless seems flakier than I would like. This is my first performance wireless mouse in a very long time, and I sort of expected in 2022 this would be ""perfect"" - it isn't. Missed clicks, missed movement (mouse movement occasionally registers as very slow for a half second or so - just enough to make you think you are crazy), occasional very long wake up times (>5 seconds). The 2.4GHz spectrum in my area is extremely congested, but I expected better - especially given my wireless trackball (from the usual suspects) works pretty much flawlessly. Haven't used Bluetooth more than to confirm it works, so can't comment on that. So overall, pretty mixed. The combination of form-factor/weight/style/connection options make it a keeper for me, but I was really hoping there wouldn't be so many minor (and major) annoyances.
Bought the white colorway because it matched my setup, but was a bit hesitant because I have fairly sweaty hands and thought the coating would stain. However, it's been good so far! Clicks are nice and really fast for the FPS games I play. Side buttons are slimmer than I'm used to but got used to them in 1-2 days. The body doesn't creak/squeak compared to what I've read from others about the older model. Type C charging is fast on this mouse, and the included cable is one of the best cables I've ever had for a mouse. The cable is super bendy with minimal drag, feels like there's nothing there! You can save the DPI (CPI in this case) to the mouse without the software running (make sure you make another Configuration profile because changing the "Default" profile ... MoreBought the white colorway because it matched my setup, but was a bit hesitant because I have fairly sweaty hands and thought the coating would stain. You can save the DPI (CPI in this case) to the mouse without the software running (make sure you make another Configuration profile because changing the "Default" profile won't save properly). Any RGB settings you set to a Configuration profile won't appear if the software isn't open, it'll just cycle through colors like a rainbow as default. You can, however, turn off the RGB and it'll save to the mouse then close the software for good (for those that want as few programs running in the background as me). Lastly, the mouse feet are extremely good, it glides and moves with no problem on my plain cloth mouse pad. Would recommend trying the shape in store if you can to see if it's comfortable. Personally, I have small hands and can claw/palm grip well.
This mouse definitely looks great. It ticked all my boxes. Lightweight, Naga style button layout, wireless, rgb, good battery life. Unfortunately it's very slim. I don't have large hands by any means and holding this mouse is very awkward. My pinky just kind of drags across my mat. The 12 side buttons are also VERY hard to press accurately. Pressing 1 or 3 is fine but any of the middle buttons (2,5,8,etc) is hard. I ended up pressing the surrounding buttons more often. They're also placed further towards the front of the mouse which led me to have to ""reach"" to get to the top row (1-3). Overall, steelseries seems to fail to improve on the Naga style mouse. Placing the side buttons closer towards the wrist, as well as spacing them out, and making the mouse just a little wider or adding a pinky rest would have made this mouse well worth the $150 paid. This mouse is LONG. Definitely for lorge hands if you have a typical palm grip. I could see claw grips liking this mouse more. I bought this hoping it would be a good wireless replacement for a Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite. Unfortunately the first 3 side buttons sit way too far up for my thumb to reach them comfortably without changing the grip on the mouse. Don't get me wrong, this mouse is awesome, tracking is great, great mouse skates that are super smooth and glide great. Just unfortunately doesn't work for me. I've attached an image that shows the length vs a scimitar. The scimitar side buttons can also be moved forwards and backwards which is an amazing feature in my opinion, letting you set the side buttons to the perfect distance for your hand.
