Researched trimmers upon buying my first home, and landed on this one. Although it was pricier than most, I wanted to pay more for good quality. The first red flag should have been when the sales person at F&F gave me a demonstration, and it took her 20 minutes to get it started. I exclusively used the specific (and overpriced) Stihl oil that is recommended. It worked without challenges for a little less than a season. Two summers in, and takes 10 minutes to start, and doesn't run in idle (must be full throttle or it power cuts). After three summers, it now runs for 45 seconds before shutting off. Absolute garbage. I'm guessing Stihl is just the next company to short cutting quality to make a bigger profit. Will never buy Stihl anything again.

Still trying to get used to, but maybe reading the manual (of which I am very lazy to) might help. Easy to start but just a tad heavy. Lengthening/shortening the line is a breeze....love it.

Bought this and stihl’s oil fuel mix on a Tuesday and went to use it the following day and it won’t start looked at the manual and I did everything right. I know it comes with a warranty but if it doesn’t start one day after buying it why would I want it. Don’t waste your time or money on it there’s other brands

But Sthil shop gave me a replacement on the same day, they got to know the unit was lost in transit. I picked it up by myself (took only 15mins).About the trimmer, its a good little power house. Cuts grass well and good for my small back yard. Build quality is not the best, and i found the handle to be wobbly and got a small play. Other than that does the job well and great value for the price. I had to change the original head because the cable snapped after a few metres of work. Then you have to remove the whole head retread and start again. Motor is very weak as soon as you put it user any pressure it slows down. Cheap brand I had before was better.
Easy to use, straightforward to set up. Nylon tends to break inside the hub and you need to pull it apart to advance it. Probably due to the way I’m using it.
awesome product. Started first time, runs well and is very easy to use. Well priced also.
No issues with the power, but having issues with how fast i go through the trimmer cord. I am stopping and feeding the line trimmer everytime it hits the edge of the lawn, base of house, fence line, foot path, and base of trees. Very frustrating having to stop so many times while doing the lawns. My old cheaper line trimmer didn't stop as many times as what I do with this trimmer. I may need to go in to the store to see if something could be done about it.
The line feed mechanism does not work properly, so I have to keep removing the head, removing the line and then re-threading the line feed mechanism. This is getting REALY old, really quickly. It is totally ruining the brand for me, I wont purchase anything from Stihl again.
