I own a professional landscaping company. We started out with a full crew only on Stihl Battery products (except for blowers…we us the BR800s). ALL of our crew are moving over to battery. Output is the same as gas (with the exceptions of blowers) and my maintenance for that crew has significantly dropped. All the equipment works all the time. Batteries are not cheap and you have to buy enough to power your crew for the day, but it is so much better than gas.

I purchased my battery powered trimmer two weeks ago. I had previously owned one along with battery powered chainsaw and hedge trimmer and lost them in a house fire in August of 2021. I knew when spring time came, I would want another one. They are light weight enough for both my wife and I to use. We would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this months ago and have put it through a lot of hours. I’m pleasantly surprised with its ability and performance. It’s not going to make you give up your gas trimmer for the rough stuff in a commercial setting. But for home use or commercial use where it’s simple to moderate weed and grass trimming it will get it done. Next best thing it’s quieter and no fueling no smell no hassle.

Decided to give Stihl battery lawn equipment a try, I’ve been a dedicated Stihl equipment consumer for over 3 decades now a still continue to buy and use Stihl products. This battery trimmer is no except the 135R does a phenomenal job on my yard and steep grade front hill that you can’t use anything but a trimmer on. Previously it was my 56 gas trimmer but the new battery one I have to admit is way easier to use, carry around and performs almost just as well as my larger gas trimmer. I definitely will not hesitate to buy any other Stihl battery equipment and am probably going to buy a 460v lawnmower now too just simply becauseI like my new 135R trimmer so much.
Recently made the leap to battery operated tools and equipment for our ranch and home. Happy with the power and capacity of the FSA 135 pole saw and trimmer with the AL 500 battery which make a great package. Looking forward adding more components and tools!
I have used top performing gas trimmers on my properties which include suburban and river edge homes. I have switched to battery as I have gotten older and I no longer enjoy starting the gas units. I am completely satisfied with the battery units from Stihl.
I'm into both the AK and AP battery lines, so despite the fact that I'm accustomed to straight shaft gas trimmers with counter-clockwise head rotation, I first bought the FSA 60 R. It had the features I wanted, like a straight shaft and variable speed trigger, plus the price was right. My yard is smaller, and I figured the clockwise head rotation on the 60 would be easy to adjust to...wrong. I then bought this one; what a nice trimmer. Very quiet, very smooth, and the fit and finish is superb. The controls are situated perfectly, whether trimming or edging. The price was significant, to me anyway, but no buyer's remorse on this one.
I recently purchased this with a few attachments to replace my gas powered equipment. I have used it 4 times and could not be happier. I am able to edge and trim my yard (5000 sq ft) and have plenty of battery left for my blower. I love how quiet it is, no pulling cords to start or messing with a choke, no vibrations and no pollution. It performers great and you feel good using it.
This trimmer is light and with the included shoulder strap, made 90 minutes of work easy. Powerful enough to make easy work of heavier, newer green, thick weeds, small trees, and grass. Quick tap on the ground provides new string to keep things moving along.
It's been 1year since I bought this. Had a gas model for over 10 years. Thought I would switch to an electric model and not have to mess with the 2 stroke gas and the winterizing for gas models. Went with the 135R because I like the straight shaft. Being 6'4" I don't like the curved shafts because I would have to bend over to do my trimming. Have an acre+ to trim. I also had other accessories for my gas model and they all worked with the new model. After trimming and edging I only used half of my batteries charge. I regret waiting so long to get to go to the FSA135R.
