Another disappointing lunch. I brought this to the office for a quick and easy lunch, which it was. You can just chuck it in the microwave straight from frozen, making it a very good option to bring your own lunch to work. However, that is only if you have lost all sense of taste and feeling in your mouth. Otherwise you'll be left wanting. The pasta was too soft and the sauce watery; not really appealing to eat. I've had a few of these Strength Meals before and I have yet to have one that is actually pleasant to eat and that tastes good. And they are incredibly calorific, which is fine if you're bodybuilding, but your average office worker would be best to steer clear from these and opt for a salad instead.

Some like it hot. But unfortunately Mr Coffeeplease didn’t Mr Coffeeplease did the honours and took this meal to work. I said to him, please keep in mind “would you purchase this for $9” Now, let me just say this meal comes from the frozen meals section, for an eye watering $9. For that price, I expect a generous serving, lots of sauce with meat & marvellous flavours. While the packaging was quite attractive, with its cult like qualities eg (Facebook, Instagram), bodybuilder/Yoga feel, amount of protein etc….. I felt straight up, that I’m not in this league. Now as a family, $9 for 1 person serve is a lot ( times that by 4 people that’s $36 ) so this is not something we would purchase as I am able to reduce costs by making myself…… I know it’s convenience but I can purchase a tin of tuna, chickpeas & salad for less. Thank you bunch for the opportunity to sample

The 'Italian' style crumbed pork had little taste, and the chilli, tomato sauce ruled the meal. The only thing going for this meal is the equal parts ratio of pork, sauce and pasta, and has a long use by date. Was easy to find in the Freezer section along with other varieties of Strenght Meals. I think the labelling plays a part in the high price tag as not worth it for pork mince, pasta, and a bit of sauce. Not something I will recommend

A bit too spicy for me. I located this bunch sample in the frozen food section. It was a little bit tricky to find in store, as my local Woolies has fresh microwave dinners located near the meat department, a second microwave dinner range in the frozen foods section, and a third easy frozen meals (pastas etc) in another part of the frozen section, but I got there in the end, phewThe Strength Meals Co Italian Pork Pasta dish was priced at $9 and the heating instructions and packaging were very easy to navigate. The packaging shape and size were ideal for freezer storage and stacking. The flavour for me was a bit too hot (spicy), and the meal itself wasn't a very large portion for the price point, but it made up for the size for being really filling. An Italian Spicy kick to the tongue. Usually Priced at $9, this isn’t a meal that I would routinely purchase for myself so was quite happy to try this out. Found in the freezer section, the packaging looks fancy and not Woolworths branded at all. Although I am not sure if it is. It is called “Strength meals co. ” There is an enticing image of the heated up meal on a plate. The meal comes vacumn packed which means it requires no piercing of the film before you put it in the microwave. As the meal heats up, the steam causes the plastic film to slowly rise and it evenly steams the rest of the meal. When it came out of the microwave, I could see the pork mince clearly. Peeling back the film easily, I was greeted with a wonderful herbed frangrance and a welcoming pasta meal. I mixed the pasta and sauce together and took my first bite Ooh nice, but has a slight Chili kick to it. I saw that there was a one chilli rating on the front of the pack. It was bearable at first but as I continued the meal, it became more and more spicy for me Luckily I managed alright because it was actually quite tasty. The pasta was cooked al dente and complimented the sauce well. I am a fan of mince meat dishes so this was a winner for me. Nice to be able to try something different as we don’t normally cook with pork mince. Great serving size for one (350g). 3. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ health rating ✅All packaging including plastic film, tray and cardboard sleeve is recyclable ♻️✅✅✅Best before date of just under a year. Made in Australia from at least 45% Australian ingredients , that is a little disappointing. As I said earlier I wouldn’t buy it again for that price but it was an enjoyable meal

Not my kind of meal but BigW said it was alright! When I finally found this meal (I kept looking in the meat section but it was a frozen meal) I thought it didn't look all that appetising in its vacuum sealed pack but having read the pack I thought BigW might like it. So for lunch yesterday when he was looking for something to eat I told him to grab it out of the freezer and give it a try. The instructions were easy to read and follow and the 6 minutes it suggested was exactly right for our microwave. Peeling back the film you do (as always) have to be careful not to burn yourself, but it did come off quite easily. BigW tipped the contents into a bowl and gave it a good stir around and then topped it with some grated parmesan cheese. BigW tipped the contents into a bowl and gave it a good stir around and then topped it with some grated parmesan cheese. The aroma was quite nice and you could smell the spices. BigW said the taste was quite good with a bit of spice and a nice tang. But one thing he did pick up on was the pasta was a bit inconsistent with some of the pasta being chewy and there was a bit that was hard and inedible. It looks like when they seal it the pasta gets somewhat squashed and we are unsure if this is the problem. So all in all it was a tasty lunch with a few small problems. But I did notice that although it is made in Australia it is only made with 45% Australian ingredients (and with Pork being 60% of the meal I am wondering why all the pork is not Australian and where the other portion comes from!). Also it has only a 3. 5 star health rating and has a bit too much salt. Packaging, other than the film, is recyclable which is great. BigW gave it 3. 5 stars and would buy again if we were holidaying and needed a quick easy microwavable meal.

Filling but hot! I liked the idea of this quick, easy meal especially for work - no need to pierce the film, just heat in the microwave. A quick stir to distribute the heat and sauce evenly and it was ready to consume. Italian pork pasta - delicious. Excellent meat to pasta ratio making it a filling meal. I was actually surprised by the meaty meatballs contained and they tasted great. However, there was a one chilli rating for heat, so I wasn't too worried as I don't mind a subtle warmth but not here. I would hate to think what a two or three heat rating means to this company, as my mouth was hot and tingling from the first bite. Kind of ruined the meal for me and therefore wouldn't purchase again on this basis.

As my microwave is old, I heated it for 6min 66sec and thought it could have used a few more seconds heating once I'd stirred it. - As soon as I peeled back the film, I could smell pork... then I smelt chilli - The meat sauce was a strange texture. Small chunks of meat that reminded me of dogfood. It was not appealing to look at. - The pasta pieces were large. I did not feel the sauce and pasta were a good match for each other. A smaller-textured sauce would have stuck better to the pasta pieces... or a smaller sized pasta would have been easier to put on my fork WITH some meaty sauce and the pasta would not have been as chewy. As it was, I felt like I had to eat a bit of sauce, then eat a bit of pasta, then eat more sauce, then pasta etc. It was hard to get a mouthful of both at the same time. - The flavour was nice but slightly too much chilli for my liking *Heated *Stirred and ready to eatOverall: For $9. 00 I was filled up but I didn't feel I had value for my money. Pasta is very cheap and although there was lots of meat sauce, I was hard pushed to see why anyone would want to pay that much for this meal. I actually felt a little queasy after eating it. Too spicy I think. I wouldn't buy again in its current form or price

Bit disappointed. I was excited to try my Bunch sample as it looked very inviting on the cover. I found it easily enough in the freezer section. I find $9 is a bit steep to pay, more around the $5 mark would be more acceptable. And it lost 2 stars for only having 45% Australian ingredients. No prick pack so into the microwave it went for the recommended time. It smelled lovely and I was stood watching as the plastic puffed up. Once out of the microwave, the plastic then constricted back onto the meal and squashed some of the pasta. I transferred my meal from the tray onto my plate and was happy to see that there was a good amount of meat compared to the pasta. It’s usually more pasta than anything else. First mouthful was a surprise at the spiciness of it considering the chilli icon on the front on the pack was only 1!! I found the pork was more like pork sausage that had been crumbled (and it didn’t taste like pork to me) and some pieces were quite hard as were some of the pasta. It looked moist enough when I first put it on my plate as the photo shows, but didn’t take too long to dry out, which the other half made comment to me about. He had a salad and didn’t want to try this so I ended up putting a small amount of Italian dressing on it just to loosen it up a little which was a nice added flavour. I am very thankful to The Bunch for the opportunity to try this product but I doubt that I’d pay for the privilege as the price doesn’t justify the product.

Asked staff and most had no idea where it was located. One finally looked it up and said their store did not have it in stock but did find a place near that did.
