Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum 6 Generation 60ml from Korea

I was very interested in this serum because of it's anti-aging claims. It's good for all skin types, including those with loss of firmness, dry skin, and uneven texture. The first thing I noticed was that the packaging of this serum is very luxurious. It has a nice weight to it and an amazing pump. The texture of the serum is not too thick or too thin, and it glides onto the skin really nicely. It doesn't take too long to absorb, either. It does have an earthy fragrance, but it isn't too much for my skin at all, and when it dries down, you can't smell it. I'll have to keep using this serum consistently to see it's full potential, but after using it for a bit, I noticed that my skin feels much more hydrated and looks more radiant.

I first fell in love with the serum when I tried their mini trial kit was absolutely amazing. I had to grab the full size! It is very lightweight and a little goes a long way. It will last you a long time! The serum is light it doesn’t feel heavy. You won’t notice that you’re applying it. It isn’t sticky or tacky feeling it absorbs into your skin really fast/easy. I personally have oily skin and it doesn’t add to that. I don’t feel like there’s any greasy oily feeling from the serum either. It helps my skin get the hydration that it needs And definitely helps to give a glow after continuous usage.

Glowing booster

Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum VI is the latest formulation of it's kind. This one feels like a really hydrating essence on my face and neck. It has a thick essence consistency out of the bottle but feels like a drink of water on my skin. It absorbs quickly and dries down to a very soft, smooth texture. It makes my next products perform with a boost of prolonged moisture and brightness. I can tell the difference on days I skipped the serum because the effects didn't last until night. My skin is glowing!I feel that any skin type will benefit from this except sensitive skin, rosacea, etc.

Good serum

My skin loves the First Care line from Sulwhasoo! This serum is good for all skin types but especially great for me who need that extra hydration and help with strengthening the skin barrier. This serum helps my skin absorb my moisturizer so much more efficiently. The serum absorbs instantly and I can feel that my moisturizer is absorbed rather than sitting on top of my skin. The serum is lightweight yet hydrating and rich. It is not at all greasy. Once it’s absorbed; my skin feels hydrated but I don’t feel any heaviness or greasiness at all! I don’t even feel the serum. My skin also looks healthier in general and does not have any irritations. I love the texture and color. It is more viscous than water but is liquidy. The color is a beautiful sheer tan. Great Addition to my Routine

I debated this one before trying—I didn’t really think I needed to add ANOTHER step to my already robust skincare routine… but on the other hand, I invest a lot of money into this routine, so the thought of adding something that would help my skin absorb all of my other products better was very appealing to me. I gave it a try and was so happy that I did. This really did seem to amplify my skincare routine. I did add to both my morning and evening routine. I was a little unclear if I should do this before or after toning, but I did ultimately end up using it after. The product itself feels very luxurious—like something that would be applied during a facial. It is soothing and lightweight. It does have a kind of dishwasher soapy smell to it—I also own a Sulwhasoo ... MoreI debated this one before trying—I didn’t really think I needed to add ANOTHER step to my already robust skincare routine… but on the other hand, I invest a lot of money into this routine, so the thought of adding something that would help my skin absorb all of my other products better was very appealing to me. I have dry skin with uneven texture and I felt like this was a good product to address both issues. I am glad I incorporated this into my routine!

Great step for skincare

I love when products deliver a beautiful usage experience, and this Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum absolutely hit the spot. From the beautiful bottle to the grounding herbal medicine scent to the water-like texture, it’s a joy to use.The scent is truly calming for me, breathing it in as part of my evening routine is a wonderful way to end the day. It’s very herbaceous and reminds me of an essential oil blend. On the bright side, the scent does dissipate quickly as the product melts into the skin. The golden elixir is lightweight and runny; it melts quickly into the skin, dries to the touch within minutes, and leaves zero residue behind, which is a huge win. The brand recommends warming two to three pumps of the serum in your hands and gently pressing it into your cheeks, forehead, and nose until absorbed. It has a light texture and is almost like water, with an amber color. It seems contradictory that adding an extra layer of skincare would help subsequent layers absorb better, but it works. My toner and serums seem to absorb quicker and leave less of a film when I use the Sulwhasoo activating serum. This was slightly harder to notice, but I’ve noticed that the rest of my products work harder when I use the Sulwhasoo serum. My skin just feels more moisturized and has a bit more glow when I use this. I didn’t notice a difference in fine lines either way though. So if you’re in your 20’s, as I was when I first tried the Sulwhasoo Activating Serum, you’re going to be disappointed. But as we get older and our skin gets drier, duller, and more fine lines, this product can be just the boost your skincare routine needs.Gifted by Sulwhasoo.

Has much potential...

This is the 'first step/base product' before many of the Sulwhasoo skincare rituals. I apply 2 pumps of this watery serum to my face and neck, which my skin drinks up immediately. It's not one of those that sits around waiting to be absorbed. I noticed a brightening effect within just a couple of days (especially when used before Snowise Brightening Water and Serum) and also a slight reduction in my skins' oil production - something I was not expecting. But I must mention the reduction is only slight, not huge and I still need to use blotting sheets by late afternoon time. There's some really good 'herbal' ingredients in First Care Activating Serum, and unfortunately some really bad ones too. How's 'alcohol' for you, at second position on the ingredients list? Not ... MoreThis is the 'first step/base product' before many of the Sulwhasoo skincare rituals. How's 'alcohol' for you, at second position on the ingredients list? Not to mention a ton of fragrance. Luckily I didn't experience any irritation or breakout, but I'm not confident I'd be saying the same thing if I was to use this long term. It's a shame, this product holds a lot of potential, with just a couple of minor adjustments to the ingredients it could be something truly special. Thankfully I decided to get this in the trial size, without investing in a full bottle.~ My Sephora Top 7 must-have list ~(My top 7 must-have beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Sephora)1. Hydrating and firming. Awsome product

I received first care activating serum VI complimentary from Sulwhasoo and Skeepers in return of my honest opinion and review.I am 39 year old and signs of aging have started to appear on my face in the form of fine lines and wrinkles specially at the corners of eyes. Also my skin is getting an unbalanced texture becoming red and dry on occasions. So I was definitely in need of a perfect serum that would deal with these issues. That's when I got this product that proved miraculous for my face.I used First care activating serum VI twice a day for 3 consecutive days. It's not greasy at all. And gets dry soon after applying. Does not leaves any residue on skin (as I have noted with some skin products). Skin feels smooth, hydrated and nourished after applying product. After using it for 3 days I have noticed a visible change in appearance of wrinkles and also I felt dryness and redness I was having around my nose and in between eyebrows have disappeared. In my opinion the product is worth using and I would definitely continue using it. I would also recommend it to everyone who wants to get rid of the skin problems that I was having. Thank you Sulwhasoo and Skeepers..

pleased with the new gen

I've been a big fan of this brand for a while, and was grateful to receive this complimentary from Sulwhasoo. I had previously purchased this direct through Sulwhasoo, and the first thing I noticed upon receiving this product was that the packaging looked quite different. Upon further research, I discovered that the brand is claiming to have added boosting ingredients as well as added a focus on barrier support in comparison to the previous generation. My experience with this product is lining up with these new claims. While I was initially worried about the alcohol/fragrance, my skin is responding well to this product with no irritation. As with the prior gen, I feel that my skincare is absorbing better when I start my routine with this serum. While I was initially worried about the alcohol/fragrance, my skin is responding well to this product with no irritation. As with the prior gen, I feel that my skincare is absorbing better when I start my routine with this serum. Finally, I am happy to report that I quickly saw results in terms of barrier boosting! My experience with ginseng/hanbang is that the full results will come in several weeks. My final notes: Sulwhasoo is a brand wherein it is difficult to look at the INCI and conclusively state, "oh it's THIS ingredient that is leading to these results!" Instead, I believe this brand's entire formulas are responsible for the results. For this same reason, I don't believe it is helpful to write this off due to the fragrance/alcohol. Alcohol can be formulated into a gentle product, and fragrance can enhance the user experience. Overall, I think this brand and this product are formulated with great care for excellent results.
