Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Oil-Free Gel Cream 50ml

I’ve been on my tretinoin journey for 4 weeks now. This is the moisturizer that I’ve been using throughout that time. I chose this moisturizer because of its clean list of ingredients and light consistency. On tret, your skin gets really sensitive at the beginning your treatment, and starts to slough off layers of dead skin cells rapidly = lots of uncomfortable, tight, flaky skin. This moisturizer has completely protected my skin from ALL of those side effects. It’s a dream to apply: it’s super thin/lightweight and spreads so evenly across the skin with minimal massaging. Although the consistency is lightweight, it kept my sensitive, transforming skin protected and moisturized all day. No heavy greasy feeling at all. A Godsend

This cleared up both my hormonal and stress acne in 2 days and significantly lightened the scars. I use a ton of high end skincare and although this isn't the most moisturizing thing out there, it's the best moisturizer for acne. The ingredients address sensitive skin needs and go above and beyond to smooth the skin out to make it appear healthier and tighter.It's very lightweight and feels/looks more like a cream than a gel. It has no scent and a little goes a very long way so this should last forever. It gives your skin a slight radiance or "dew" but I find if you use a lighthand it's not that glowy which I prefer. Works well under makeup too!

Hydrating miracle worker!

Amazing day time cream for bedtime or daytime! This saved my skin, period. I was experiencing flaky, dry, irritated, sensitive skin and it healed it within a few uses at bedtime. I was having an issue with eczema on my face and seborrheic dermatitis at my hairline and my nasolabial folds in particular and my skin was just sore. I was amazed as I'd tried several other things to combat it including topical steroids. I can tell a difference when I stop using it for a week or two and my skin reverts back to being angry. This is nourishing but nice and lightweight and prefect for prep before makeup.Just an all around great cream for repairing your skin barrier.

It's a no from me *HONEST REVIEW*

I wanted to like this product. First, it contains hyaluronic acids, therefore, you must put it on a wet face. I knew this going into using this product. My problem with this is it would have to be used in the AM without any serums unless you let your other skincare soak in for like 30 min to an hour. This would be fine except for the fact it is a really thick consistency; almost like you are "slugging". It is a consistency of a nighttime moisturizer but that causes an issue when using other skincare products such as serums ESPECIALLY if you are using any retinols, retinoids, vitamin C, or any other types of acids. Second, this product takes FOREVER to soak in. So, with the problem I listed before, you need to put this on an hour and a half earlier than when you need ... MoreI wanted to like this product. This is probably due to low quality ingredients and fragrance/fillers.After all the waiting for it to soak in, my face is moisturized but I have gotten way better results with different products of either the same or lower price range.I give it 2 stars because it did technically moisturize my face and if you care about packaging, the packaging is aesthetically pleasing.Final: do not waste your money on this product. There are other products out there that are less difficult to work with and are not damaging to your skin.

Light & Airy

I debated quite heavily about purchasing due to price point and potentially not liking it but glad I went ahead with it as I have no regrets. I have purchased the mini version twice and also have the full size now. I have skin that changes between normal to combination and this has served me well. It has a gel like texture, light weight, no fragrance and no peeling when layered with sunscreen. It feels refreshing upon application which kind of wakes me up. The name ‘cloud dew’ is very fitting because its texture is what I would imagine a cloud to feel like, light and airy. I would not describe this as super moisturising neither would I recommend for those with dry skin based on this. The hydration it provides its just enough particularly during warmer months. Lightweight silky hydration!

This Cloud Dew gel cream from Summer Fridays has quickly become a favorite in my daytime skincare routine. It has an ultra-lightweight gel texture that glides onto the skin and absorbs quickly instantly providing a boost of hydration. It feels nice and cool upon application and doesn't leave any sticky or oily residue. I love how incredibly silky, soft it feels on the skin and how my skin looks and feels plumper, more moisturized and refreshed with each use. I also truly appreciate that it's vegan, cruelty free and offers multiple benefits. I prefer a thicker cream during colder seasons, but this gel moisturizer seems perfect for the warmer spring and summer months when my skin prefers a more lightweight option.

Moisturizing for combo skin but burning sensation

Will probably return. I had quite a lot of burning upon my first application, like a few others. But I do have combo skin (dry patches with tret) and I did find it moisturizing. I did a bit of research on pineapple extract and found:Pineapple has antioxidant, skin soothing and exfoliating properties from its vitamin c content, the anti-inflammatory enzyme bromelain, and naturally-occurring glycolic acid. It also contains the softening, calming enzyme bromelain, but also salicylates.Pineapples are also rich in the alpha hydroxy acid (aha)glycolic acid

Not very moisturizing & triggered some sensitivity

Both times I used this moisturizer for my night routine I chose my most hydrating toner and serum to use with it and chose to not use any other actives to be able to find out how this suited my skin.The 2nd night I used this after having worn it the night before and following up the day with my "recovery" daytime skincare, it did make my skin tingle a little bit. Both times after applying it felt more like a thin greasy film rather than hydrating, conditioning and/ or plumping. It didn't feel bad it was just nowhere near being an occlusive enough cream to keep my skin feeling hydrated after the initial application being a decent experience. I did wake up with some flakiness on both my nose and one cheek the first use - this never happens unless I use products that don't moisturize me enough or I had a rough and irritated skin day prior - and my skin was happy during both daytimes before I used this.I am honestly surprised by this as I have used a cleanser that has papaya enzymes in it so I thought this would be fine for my skin at night especially if I didn't use anything else with actives in it.I also don't know what could have caused the short term mild tingling a few minutes after applying this as the ascorbic acid (according to online reviews websites) is very low at anywhere between 0.3 to 0.5%, I use a papaya enzyme cleanser almost daily, and I am a seasoned user of multiple potent actives in unison. That also concerns me that what looked like it would be a non irritating and hydrating formula ended up not being able to even simply not cause any skin reaction.This is probably best designed for people with slightly less sensitive and dry skin, but with so many more affordable while being effective and not sensitizing options out there that make my skin feel more nourished and not reactive, I won't be reaching to try this brand out again.

Wish it smelled better or like nothing.

Let’s start with the likes! I love the packaging and coloring of this product! The texture is really nice, and lightweight. It smooths into the skin extremely easily and doesn’t make me oily. I have oily skin, so moisturizers that are too thick make me oily. This is moisturizing without being overpowering. The only thing I truly did NOT like about this product is the scent. It is fragrance free, but it still has a smell. I personally think it almost smells plastic-y, and I truly dislike it. I’m not sure why it smells this way, and it doesn’t last once you have it absorbed into the skin, but I am one who likes to feel pampered when applying my skincare and the scent definitely takes away from that experience. unbelievable!

I switched to this moisturizer after doing some research and reading the excellent reviews. I was very unsure at first because the gel consistency was new to me. I am used to using oily and creamy moisturizers because I have a dry/combo skin type. I do not wear makeup on a daily basis but coworkers were remarking about my skin and making comments like "you have no pores or wrinkles" and "your face is glowing!". This product is excellent on its own or as a makeup base, especially for minimalist makeup. It noticeably evens out texture and gives you a natural glow. I deeply appreciate that it is fragrance free because any trace of fragrance breaks me out. Would highly recommend anyone to try this and it even comes in a trial size too!
