I have used this product for several years with great success. This particular listing says it treats 8,000 sq ft, but if you zoom in on the pic you’ll see that it treats 2,178 sq ft. Unfortunately I only looked at the description. I will be returning this for the container that treats almost 4 times the area for a little less than 2 times the cost.

I have used this product for several years with great success. This particular listing says it treats 8,000 sq ft, but if you zoom in on the pic you’ll see that it treats 2,178 sq ft. Unfortunately I only looked at the description. I will be returning this for the container that treats almost 4 times the area for a little less than 2 times the cost.
I tried dish detergent, peroxide, cayenne pepper, and sudsy ammonia on the fungus gnats in my houseplants. Even in higher concentrations than recommended, nothing touched them. After one application of Mosquito Bits, they are gone. I'll apply once or twice more, to be sure, and bake any new potting soil at 200F. A little product goes a long way.
Came in bags not shakers, so I’d never order again. I wanted shakers. I can get bags cheaper at home, so this was a real waste of my time. Product is only so so.
This produce is fantastic. I put it in the flower pot saucers and the mosquitos were truly gone in 24 hours. I am in love.
While I was dubious when I ordered, with literally a dozen or so pellets (1/4 teaspoon) in each of a couple of 200Ltr/44 Gal drums we catch water in, the wrigglers were dead in a day or so. (It's not as cheap as I'd like here in Australia), but at this rate of consumption, the bag should last us a long time.
I'm glad this stuff was on a steep discount when I bought it, otherwise I'd consider the purchase worse than it was. I got this to treat fungus gnats in infected potting soil (a permitted application besides mosquito eradication). I followed the directions to the letter but I think I heard the gnats laughing hysterically as they chowed down on the "bits." This product was completely ineffective, I'd never purchase it again and unless it might be genuinely effective for mosquitoes, I cannot recommend it to others.
I ordered three containers and I received three bags. Since I have neuropathy from chemo related to cancer, I cannot safely use the bags. I am very disappointed with the order.
I sprinkle this stuff on top of the soil of my houseplants to get rid of fungus gnats. It really works well. Hard to find in stores in this smaller size container.
