I had dirty blondish hair before using this product, but now it's BLONDE blonde. It has beautifully brought out the natural highlights in my hair so it actually looks like it's just from the sun. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my hair colour since using this. This product is easy to use - just spray in sections at the root and comb through. I do this on damp hair around once a week and I make sure to use lots of nourishing products to combat the damaging/drying effects of the hydrogen peroxide. Smells good as well! Just a side note, I would not recommend this product to people with brunette hair as I have seen this type of product cause a brassy colour to appear rather than blonde.

This product definitely would work best on really light blondes. I have medium brown hair and it did lighten my hair up a few shades in certain areas after a few uses but it’s a very brassy result and I ended up having to tone it and use blue shampoo so it wasn’t super golden/orange. It smells nice and you get a decent amount of product for the price. Didn’t damage my hair like the original Sun in product has. Overall decent product just beware if you are a brunette, you’ll definitely need to tone you hair a lot after using this.

Growing up I was a very blonde girl but as soon as I got to high school my hair started darkening. I got my hair highlighted but I thought it wasn't natural enough. One summer my friend and I decided to try this. It worked great at first for both of us (my hair started dirty blonde and hers a virgin light brown). My hair was lighter and loved it. After a couple weeks the hair that had been highlighted had turned orange. Slowly over time as I continued to use heat products it continued getting more and more orange even if I toned it. It was awesome at first but the bleach had a bad reaction. My friends hair ended up become more red head after time as well. Overall it was only ok, I would only recommend for people who have virgin blonde hair who want a little color.

Not to be dramatic, but this product literally changed my life. Anyone who was blonde as a child and whose hair got gradually darker with age will understand. Being blonde has always been a part of my identity, so when my hair started toeing the line between blonde and brown, I realized it was time to take action. I didn't want to have to pay hundreds of dollars a year to keep my blonde, so I figured I'd try this product. That was almost two years ago. Within three months, my hair was noticeably blonder. While my mother used to comment on how dark my hair had gotten, she now frequently compliments the color and talks about how pretty it is. I'm obsessed. I mean it. I will never stop using this until the day I die.
I have natural medium/dirty blonde hair, that is 2c/3a curly. I have never used any dye, professional or otherwise on my hair. I use the Sun Bum hair lightener when I am outside in the sun and it has brought my hair to the light blonde color I want. My hair has a natural golden undertone so I have used the purple Sun Bum tone enhancer and it has helped give a more neutral blonde tone to my hair. The hair lightener has not made my hair brittle or dry, but keep in mind I do use several hydrating treatments on my natural curly dry hair anyways. Be cautious and evaluate your hair type when making product decisions, but I will continue to use this product and give it 5 stars!

I sprayed this on random strands of hair and sat out in the sun to let it work, and after like 3-4 sessions of doing that, you can really tell a difference! I did make sure to leave several days between lightening sessions and made sure to deep condition my hair after every use since it can be a bit drying. I'm really happy with the results, it looks like I went to the salon and got highlights! So I apply this when my hair is about 80-90% dry. I take a shower and towel dry my hair, and then I let it air dry for about 45 minutes or so until it's a bit more dry but not completely. Then I'll take the sun bum spray and spray it allll over my hair until it's completely damp/wet again but not dripping wet. Then I will blow dry it! I'm from Texas so sitting out in the sun in the summer is just NOT an option as I'd probably die of heat exhaustion lol.I have noticed that it does slightly dry my hair, but after I'm done blow drying I just apply some argan oil. DO NOT USE! Dries out, and causes split ends in hair. Is essentially a chemical peroxide of bleach and sustain. Will turn roots orange and patchy and smells bad. If not re-vitilised hair may begin to reject and disintergrate tmwith the use of other products! The same goes for sun-in and other similar products Just get hightlight or naturally toned bleach at a salon ladies, please dont make the same mistake as me, and ruin your hair. Im honeslty very hesitant to use other products i have purchased by them

I used the Redken acidic bonding leave-in treatment alongside using this product, so I didn't notice any damage. And the lightening is permanent, so make sure you don't overdo it if you're aiming for a specific shade of blonde. The last thing is that you should be certain to get all your hair evenly. Some days I missed the roots of my hair, and now my roots are slightly darker than the rest of my hair.
I’m Asian and have dark brown hair and the ends would be lighter naturally from being in the sun. I bought this to use at the top of my head, which is a much darker color than my ends. I sprayed lightly around 4 times on top and it works very well even just after one time to even out my hair color to match the ends that were naturally sun kissed. It also gives subtle highlights to my hair and it didn’t turn brassy or orange. Just be careful not to spray too much on your first try and use a hair mask before and after to avoid drying out your hair. I plan to use it maybe 2 more times over the span of 2 weeks since I missed a few spots the first time.
