Sun Bum - SPF 30 Original Sunscreen Lotion 237ml

I have been using this sunscreen for a few weeks now vs. the usual store name sunscreen brand. Was there a difference? Yes! 🌟 Scent: The scent wasn't too strong. I personally am not a fan of strong sunscreen scents that would conceal the smell of my perfumes and lotions. But the scent doesn't stay and it's a perfect combo for vanilla scents. Texture: I can admit, the texture is pretty off every time I squeeze some out. It almost looks clumpy? Even after shaking it. It might be because my bottle is usually in my car for on-the-go purposes but at the end of the day it still keeps my skin looking good! Packaging: I love the overall aesthetic of the packaging. This sunscreen is good for daily stuff outside the house. I do use it because it is cheap and I don't break the bank using it, it provides a good amount of percentage of SPF. The texture is fine, and scent is not overwhelming. Only complaint is the white cast, especially when your in the beach. It does look a bit ridiculous. But if your someone who does not mind that, this sunscreen is good for you.

All the buzz... (pun intended)

I am pretty pale, and this stuff kept me from burning while spending a whole day out in the Texas sun. It's super thick, so you have to take a second to really make sure you spread it around, but it didn't leave me feeling like a grease ball. It didn't leave any oily stains on my clothes, either. I reapplied a couple of times through the day, and I didn't have so much as a pink spot.I did accidentally rub some around my eyes without noticing, and this stuff made me tear up and snot like I'd eaten a raw habanero when it finally seeped in. This is not unexpected with a chemical sunscreen, but my god, I looked like a plague victim at the ren faire for about 10 minutes. Do not use!

Terrible. Sold asA natural sunscreen and fullOf terrible chemicals that cause chemical burns to the face and neck. MyDaughter looked like a jellyFish. We ended up in the ER with photochemical burns and major allergic reaction during our vacation! She was so swollen her face and eyes turned black and blue! This stuff should be illegal.

Exploded everywhere

I was packing for Florida anod my mom told me to out all my liquids in a ziplock bag incase they leaked. So that's what i did and I am very happy because when I opened my suit case the plastic bag was filled with the sun up and everything in the bag was covered. I couldn't tell yoy if the product is could because I didn't even use it because it was such a mess. I got a new zip lock bag for it and cleaned it a little bit and put everything back in the bag making sure I closed the lid of sun bum. I got back home and what do I see? The lid was opened and it had spilled in the ziplock bag again. My other sun bum products and perfumes had sunscreen in every crevice and half the bottle was already empty and I haven't even purposely put it in me yet. Goes on easy and works well

This is the first sunscreen I've tried from Sun Bum. The biggest pro I've found is that it gets absorbed into the skin very quickly and thoroughly. There is no residue once it has been massaged. Its texture and viscosity are excellent (not too thick and not too runny). The biggest downside I've encountered is that it burns quite severely if it gets into your eyes. This may not be a problem for some, but it has been a huge issue for me. Use a sun stick around your eyes without exception. I don't think this is going to replace my favorite mineral sunscreen which I pretty much use every day, but I will use it as an alternative once or twice a week.

I love Sun Bum's signature line for body

I use other SPF products depending on the activity or weather but Sun Bum lotion is one I reach for very often. I bought the same duo in SPF 50 this round and I'm so glad I did! I live in one of the hottest and driest cities in the world and while the SPF 30 did very well, this was the smarter choice. It takes being the sun for long hours for my skin to burn or get irritated but living where I live, and the sun being the leading cause of aging and skin cancer, I wear it head to toe everyday. That being said, I was expecting maybe because of the higher SPF it might dry down more sticky or greasy but no! It's just as quick absorbing and lightweight as the SPF 30. These lotions are so comfortable to wear and provide excellent protection from the sun while moisturizing your skin! I love the way it smells too! I find the coconana fragrance balances out the sunscreen smell well and two years later, I'm still sniffing my arms just to enjoy the fragrance! I can't recommend these enough to those who struggle to find body sunscreens that aren't heavy and sticky, don't smell unpleasant or won't irritate the skin. If your skin has little issue with fragrance and avobenzone, these are miracle lotions. Also, the lotions absorb down just as smooth and lightweight as rubbing in the spray version, if not better. Both lotion and spray formulas reapply nicely and interchangeably without feeling like you have a thick film on your body. This, the Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion and Coola spf body sprays are my favorites for body. However, this one is the cheapest and possibly my favorite of all my staples for sun protection.

One of the best sunscreen's out there!

In the summer I have a hard time finding sunscreen's I really like and will continue to use. I don't like the spray ones because most of the time when I really need to apply sunscreen, I am out on the lake and in the water. Spray sunscreen doesn't stay on when I get into the water, but with the SunBum original SPF 30, it really does! I have never had a problem with this sunscreen. In fact, it has always prevented me from getting a bad burn on the lake. I burn very easily on my face and my chest, and so I always lather those places up with my SunBum sunscreen and I never burn! It doesn't come off in the water, it rubs in very easily, and smells great! Wouldn’t give to my worst enemy

This product caused a horrific reaction that lasted for over five hours while I was on patrol over Memorial Day Weekend, 2024. I’ve already contacted SunBum, informed them of what happened. I was told my their “medical investigator” that the product I used had expired in April 2024, I used it in May 2024. So, you mean to tell me that one month expired this stuff turns to lava!? I’m active duty military, I’ve been pepper sprayed and exposed to tear gas for my job, this was right below those on my list of miserable chemicals encountered. SunBum barely offered an apology. I’ll add them to the list of companies with pathetic customer service and won’t stand behind their product. would only recommend for the beach

i was looking for daily sunscreen lotion and got this one but the spf 70; the smell resembles artificial banana, and the feel is very greasy but ends dry yet on the face feels very heavy and greasy at all times. i will only use it now on my body and if I'm outside but for daily use at work and home and on my face this is a 100 percent NO-GO. even if offered for free, i would not accept this again simply cause of the smell. leave no cast when properly rubbed in. leave the skin glittery. good and bad. take what ya want from it. again, highly recommend for the beach but again that smell is BAD. artificial banana does not smell good on humans.
