Perfect headgear for protection from the sun. Lightweight and so comfortable to wear with the cotton inner keeping your head cool and comfortable whilst the SPF fabric does its magic on the outside. Lovely wide brim for ample protection of neck and shoulders. Adjustable to fit your head shape/size if need be. Removable chinstrap. Packs completely flat for travel. It’s the perfect summer protection hat. Cannot fault this product at all.

I’ve just got back from a holiday where it was hot and sunny and this hat was a life saver! I ordered this particular one because it’s made from cotton and I hoped it would keep my head cool, having suffered from a sweaty head when wearing other sun hats. Well it was fantastic, it kept my head cool, was light and comfortable to wear (I’m not a fan of hat wearing) and it kept the sun off my face, neck and chest. The strap was also very handy on windy days when we were close to the coast. I also found it handy that I could easily fold the hat up to put in my bag when not needing to wear it. I’m so glad I invested in this and I will be using it throughout the summers from now on and on future holidays!

I live in Florida and spend a lot of time on our boat. I had yet to find a boat hat that would stay on, didn’t make me hotter, and offer sun protection. I thought a product coming from Australia, where they also have brilliant blue skies with intense sun (or that’s what I imagine anyway). Wouldn’t they know sun hats? They do. I bought this as a replacement for my previous one from three years ago. Unfortunately it arrived with a slight nick to the outer fabric near the rim. I would usually return something like this but I hadn’t expected it to take so long to arrive and it arrived just two days before my sun trip and a good sunhat was essential. Apart from the minor damage, the hat was just as good as my previous one. I would buy it again but months and months before I need it to ensure I could return it if it arrived damaged. Sadly ordering around 3 weeks before my trip wasn’t long enough in case of an issue like this.
I asked my mom to buy me the black and tan hat for my birthday and she did! The shape and fit of the brim is my favorite. It really does a good job of not blocking your view while giving you good coverage. Two improvements are the fit of the top of the hat.I wish the drawstring would adjust the fit around the top of your head too to keep it in place better. And the chin strap is not reversible!! You can only use it when you wear the black side. If anything we wear hats in the summer so make the chin strap for cooler tan side. Would recommend but wanted to share the chin strap info.
Fabulous hat! I need to stay out of the sun due to hyperpigmentation. I have alot of hats/caps/sun visors/fold up ones etc because no matter what I wear I want a hat that looks good on me and compliments my outfit instead looking ridiculous and I feel self conscious. So this one is a keeper it does go with lot of outfits more smart than casual. Fits great, there's a discreet tie inside to make the fit smaller if need be. I measure at 22cm so small/medium was a great fit. The neck tie is welcomed because it can get windy, wide brim and I can bend down to look more classy!! The beige and black is so practical and goes with everything. I really love this!!
This hat is not only beautifully made but wonderfully stylish. The fact that you can adjust it to fit your head is a big plus. Great protection and also COOL, so it really does its job, no perspiration, I find that most straw hats become too hot.Two contrasting colours effectively gives you two hats, and I’ve had lots of people asking me where did I get it.It looks a lot more expensive than it cost. A very reasonable price for the high quality.Website easy to navigate, pictures are very accurately portrayed, communication from the company was also very good and the postage quick.I only wish I’d known about this company a long time ago.I would highly recommend Solbari.
The hat seems like a quality hat but I am disappointed that the removable chin strap can only be attached on the khaki side, which is not functional if you (as I intend ) wear the khaki side out and the navy side towards the face. I may have to pay a seamstress to sew loops or something on the navy side so that I can wear the hat as I intend. That is ridiculous on a hat that touts itself as reversible! Meantime, my 4 messages to the company have not elicited any response from them. I am disappointed in the chin strap issue and the lack of customer service. These issues are inexcusable in an otherwise quality and expensive sun hat. I will buy an additional hat for my vacation companion but I am really unhappy about the chinstrap and lack of response. I am attaching a photo in case people have difficulty visualizing the problem with the chinstrap attaching only on the outside of the hat. It makes the brim of the hat collapse.

A few cons: -The hat is difficult to size properly. There is string tie in the circumference of the hat that you can adjust to fit your head. Its difficult to get it adjusted properly- you have to tie and re tie until you get it right. Most other hats have a draw string mechanism outside the circumference that you can pinch while the hat is on your head. This does not.-the chin strap keeps coming off the hook at the hat part. so when I put the hat down and then pick it up to put it on- the strap is always undone and i have to take it off to fix. Pros-keeps the sun off. I purchased a hat off amazon the same time i bought this one. the amazon hat was $20. I like that one better.if i could take it back it wouldi would not recommend.
It is a very nice hat, good fabric and well made, and it looks good. Shipping time from Australia was not too long, and the box arrived in good shape. I haven't actually worn the hat much yet as it's still winter here in Northern Hemisphere and not much sun or opportunity to go out in this weather. However, I didn't pick the correct hat. I thought I was purchasing a black inside and tan outside hat and somehow clicked on the wrong product. Oh well, I'll have to rig the chin strap differently, because I'll be wearing the tan side out and the black side under for glare control. One must be VERY careful when purchasing online to be sure one is getting exactly what one wants. Thank you for asking.
