This kettle heats up so quickly and stays steaming hot long after the boil has stopped. And with a large capacity that makes up to 7 cups it's perfect for brunches, family breakfasts or those mid afternoon teas as well as lunch in a hurry for soups, two minute noodles, porridge or any other snacks you might fancy. Not a real fan of Sunbeam products as have found them not to last. Would be better if it came with a flip top lid. At the end of the day it is a cheap kettle that boils water. It replaced an earlier model that started leaking along the bottom seam. Was not that old. Will see how long it lasts.

Brought it about 18 months ago. Peeling all around the water measure and then has started turning itself off and on with light going on and off as well. Thought for the cost it may have lasted longer. Ironically the plastic $30 one I brought for work has lasted longer with no trouble.

Nice matte finish and looks great with the matching toaster. Only downside is that the lid is a little tight and hard to get off sometimes - splashes water around and not great for those with hand difficulties. There is a nice light that illuminates the water fill gauge when on which is a good feature.
The kettle looks good but the water indicator window is difficult to see under the handle and I wish it had a pop top lid like Breville not a lid that removes. I have to use a 1 litre jug of water to fill to the minimum level of .75l so I don't like having to boil so much water just for 2 cups. It also takes some time to boil the minimum amount. Not as quick as I thought it would be.
This is my first kettle with a detachable lid. You can pour water into the kettle through its spout. The blue LED light is a nice touch. It's also quieter than my last Sunbeam kettle which I bought five years ago. Power switch feels solid and the finish looks good on the kitchen counter. It wobbles around a lot when boiling larger amounts of water. I wish it had a push button lid. There weren't any stainless steel kettles at this price point with a satisfactory lid release action on the shop floor.All in all, a solid kettle. I've been using Sunbeam kettles for thirty years.
If you want a kettle that will suit the look of all kitchens, then this one is for you!I love the Matte color- it looks so stylish and really is a great, fast boiling kettle which leaves no aftertaste and is reasonably quiet.It feels strong and sturdy and boils quickly. It is sleek and looks really lovely, matched with the Sunbeam Alinea 4-Slice Toaster .A kettle which you are happy to leave out and not hide away in the cupboard, because it looks so lovely!
We also purchased the toaster with the kettle, but have not been asked how happy we are with the toaster only the kettle.Kettle is great.Toaster has to be turned completely to the right to cook the toast. Crumpets have to be put down twice to get a colour.Not overly impressed with it.
Shopping on-line with Appliances On-line was easy, pricing was good and could also arrange Saturday delivery. Love this kettle with the black and chrome and it goes well with the matching toaster. Boils quickly and is not too noisy. Only negative is the black outside is hot to touch after boiling. Would still recommend this kettle.
