Okay. I got this a couple of months ago and have used it on various food items. It’s main use, for me, is slicing bread. I make my own bread and it is easier than using the old fashioned bread cutting knife. I like the ergo dynamic shape of it, but, I do find it’s a little too big for my small hands, so I cut a bit then rest my hands a bit until I finish the job. I do recommend it as a very good tool for what I need and am not sorry I bought it…good one, kitchenwarehouse 😊

Got given this for Christmas, two weeks later the on/off button under the handle stopped working. Kept using it as I find it useful for slicing our hot bread. Finally returned it a week ago as it started getting very hot and smelling of burning wiring. Asked for another as hopefully it will be better. If not then I will get a refund instead.

Avoid. Not powerful enough and motor will blow. This knife should be pulled from the shelves.
Not enough power to cut through a pork roast. Blades are not sharp enough and evan if you manage to cut some. You are using it like a normal carver
Our old electric knife started smoking (a bad habit in any kitchen) , so in the bin it went.The new Sunbeam is light and easy to use on beef, chicken and pork. Easy to clean and store.
I had an older version of the Sunbeam Carveasy and it was so good I decided to get the same brand. I noticed that the Sunbeam Carveasy EK 4000 is nowhere near as sharp as my older one. You really have to push on it to make it cut. Worse still, the handle overheats alarmingly and I can smell something burning. I think it's going to go back to the shop.
I bought one of these after owning an electric knife for over 30 years which still had the motor perfect but the blades after all the time one snapped in half. Unfortunately, this knife is not only not powerful or cut properly it is dangerous and keeps running even though stopped pressing on. I bought another thinking it must be just faulty and the next one did the same!! Should be pulled from the market.
A really good knife. You feel in control of the blades, which means that you can cut things at the thickness you want.
I was so disappointed with this product. I received it as a Xmas Present to use on xmas ham. After I inserted the blades they did not work properly. Then they did not eject. Faulty product that did not work. Returning it hoping for a refund.
