If you use the butter melting tray, only this (and perhaps the cover) will need to be washed after use. Otherwise, this appliance requires almost zero maintenance. Bought on sale for kids who have got a lot of use out of it

Pros: Great machine. All the popped corn comes out the chute and it all ends up in the bowl, not on the counter or the floor. Very few unpopped kernels end up in the bowl, they remain in the machine. Pops a decent amount of corn in one go - a whole big bowlful. Definitely worth paying a little extra for this machine.Cons: The popcorn scoop doubling as a butter melter using the heat from the machine is a great idea but doesn't manage to melt all the butter in the time it takes to pop the corn. Easy to finish it off in the microwave though so not a huge issue.

It's easy to use, just measure with the yellow cup which is on top and pour it in, turn on and there you have it, after 10-20 seconds they pop. Before that Add some salted butter to the cup and stir until melts. Makes noise like a hair-dryer but it doesn't take long. I tried it several times, and most of the time with no leftovers. VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE.

This little sunny yellow popcorn maker makes perfect fluffy popcorn every time! I’m so impressed. It reminds me of the popcorn maker we had when growing up, and I love getting movie quality popcorn at the ease of a button. It’s easy to use, nifty enough to pack away from the bench top and back into the cupboard, and it’s a happy yellow colour, what’s not to like!?
We love this purchase! It was very reasonably priced, with delivery being super fast and also very reasonably priced. I managed to use my Myer One card points voucher to purchase so it ended up costing about $12! No oil, no grease! Just healthy air popped corn. It's fast and it doesn't make a mess - like at all!!! The melting tray for the butter is okay, but the popcorn pops so fast it doesn't tend to melt the butter for long enough. No problem though, it tastes amazing without butter!
Easy to use - excellent value for price. Able to control your own butter and salt servings providing opportunity for healthier eating. Corn Kernels can be readily found in IAG supermarkets at economical pricing- it won’t be long before you are saving money through the fun activity of making your own popcorn than eating commercial microwave popcorn. My 10 yo old sons loves it!!! Definitely a hit! Highly recommended.
This popcorn maker is ok. I do have the same issue with other reviews when the top gets hot it expands and comes off easily but it's not come off during popping. I follow the instruction on the popcorn which is half a cup for this 4 qt popper and I find I get alot of popcorn with the moderate expected kernels. I'm wondering if some of the other reviews were not using enough kernels, you need a certain amount to weigh down so that once it's properly heated the popping corn stops the unpopped kernels from coming out. I got this product used for 5 dollars and it's way better then microwave popcorn so I'm satisfied.
Quick & easy way to make popcorn! Works perfectly & lots of fun. We’ve made pop corn in a pan with oil forever (!) but we love this much faster, healthier (oil free) way of cooking it. Highly recommend!Our first experience of Click ‘n Collect with Myer too - also fast & easy!
I was a bit worried about buying this as a reviewer said it was really loud. What I have found is that it is quieter than my old Breville popcorn maker so I am happy with that. It is a little loud but I don't think you can get around that. It pops the corn really well though, which is the main thing. My old popper used to throw a lot of unpopped corn into the bowl, which was annoying. The Sunbeam works really well, pops the corn well and you only get popped corn in the bowl. Great!!
Snack Heroes is the best Popcorn Maker I have used. This is my 3rd popcorn maker. Snack Heroes gets the popcorn into the bowl (not allover the bench and the floor). Popcorn is cooked beautifully. I use popcorn as a weight loss tool. I drizzle a little olive or macadamia oil over the popped corn and add a sprinkle of chicken salt for a delicious snack. Keep the amount of oil to less than a teaspoon if you like me are using it as a weight loss tool.
