Purchased this fry pan about a month ago and followed the directions for cleaning and setting it up. Have used it about 8 times. On the lowest setting (below minimum on the dial) it burns food in one section of the fry pan but not anywhere else. Second to this in that same section it is incredibly difficult to clean. It has to be soaked to be able to remove the food debris and the ceramic remains stained and rough. It is now getting scratches from having to rub so much to get the surface clean - and it still isn't clean! Even gets scratches when using wooden/plastic/rubber utensils. Incredibly frustrating and disappointing. This product is not recommended, a waste of my hard earned money. Unfortunately will have to go back to a Teflon coated product.

Have read a heap of negative reviews, but haven't had anywhere near the same experience.Haven't had any issues with anything sticking, or burning.I've cooked heaps of stuff in it, burger patties, steakettes, onions, rissoles, pork chops, steak, mince (ie bolognese), fish fillets, pancakes, sausages, toasted sandwiches, pasta, bubble 'n squeak, lamb chops, spare ribs, chicken wings and legs (marinated or not), bacon and eggs, omlette, schnitzels...Never burnt anything, or had issues with sticking.I mainly use medium heat, and canola spray, or fat in the meat itself, ie. bacon...Maybe everyone who had issues either got a "bad" one, or are just a bit rough on the gear?

Have been using Sunbeam electric frypans for years and for a change this time, I bought the Duraceramic instead of the normal non-stick frypan. Love how all I do is pour hot water into the pan when finished cooking and then cleaning up afterwards is a breeze. Just a tad surprised though about the slight darkish stain that has appeared in my pan in the shape of the under-pan heating element bar which I can't seem to remove.

EVERYTHING STICKS! We thought we were getting a regular bone stick fry pan when we opened the box and seen it was white cause itās āduraceramicā and researched and read how itās suppose to be better then regular none stick pan and it isnāt. First time everything stuck and the heat element changed colour in the base. It is the worse frypan for sticking Iāve ever used. I donāt even stick with cheap Kmart pans like I do this thing. Not to mention itās covered in scratches and I only use plastic utensils. As shown in photo trying to cook bacon, I even put oil down first than added bacon and itās stuck horribly. DO NOT BUY! WORSE DESIGNED THING IVE EVER OWNED! I would upload a photo but apparently this website is as bad as itās pan and doesnāt work.
This pan is a replacement for the white Sunbeam one I returned last week. due to overheating and inconsisent cooking. This one is much better but still tends to burn if not watched. the element gets very hot from medium upwards, and I have had to cook under medium. On the upside the frypan is very roomy and light and easy to wash. I cooked bacon and eggs in 10 minutes as cooks very quickly tends to burn a little round the element but I have managed to work with this. However, I Think Sunbeam needs to have a look at this pan and try to work out why the cooking is so inconsistent, and the element will burn if not watched and turned down. I also had the feeling that the control was not going in all the way to connect to the pan.
This is the worst frypan I have ever used. Do not get this product. It is either slightly warm, or burn the house down hot. The ceramic stuff did make it easy to clean the first couple of times but after the thing burnt everything it cooks, even turned to Min after 30 seconds, it will not come up clean and white anymore. It appears to be scratched even though only wood and plastic have been used in it. The only good thing about it, is it is light, which could be seen as a negative as it wouldn't even make a good bludgeoning instrument. Just a disappointment really.
I would discourage anyone from buying this product. Id read a few reviews saying the heat control was temperamental and I shouldve heed their advice. The first time I used it, as soon as the light clicked on at minimum heat, it rapidly burns anything in the pan. Ive never even used the medium setting, let alone anything higher. Ive tried to get the hang of switching the low heat on and off while cooking, but its a pain. I constantly have to stand and stir/flip so food doesnt stick. Doesnt cook evenly. Most food sticks to the pan and its a nightmare to clean. I would not recommend this product. Wish Id spent $80 on something else.
Replaced our old worn out electric pan with this one. First impression. Perfect. So easy to clean and the non stick surface is really good. Heat dispersion is so much better than the old one. Which was same brand but without the Duraceramic coating. So far Love it
I brought this from Big w. I was so impressed with the size. The very first time I used it the element burnt the pan and everything always sticks where itās burnt. Most expensive frying pan I have had I thought I would buy a āgood oneā and spend the extra for a change. Itās been worse than the cheap crap I once brought from Kmart. Absolute waste of money DO NOT BUY
Purchased this frypan from Big W and this product is so bad I am motivated to do something I rarely do - write a review - to hopefully prevent anyone else making the same mistake. And maybe Sunbeam or BigW will refund me or replace this terrible product! The base is not thick enough to conduct the heat from the single ring element evenly. As a result everything burns immediately above the element and is undercooked everywhere else. The "Duraceramic" non-stick simply does not work.Long time purchaser of Sunbeam products, but this has me so disappointed ā¹ļø ā¹ļøā¹ļø
