I’d suggest never turning it anywhere past medium. It will burn or dry out anything extremely quickly. Keeping near off to just below medium is recommended if your game to buy this. I bought this as our cooktop died and we needed something. The size is great which is what drew me to it in the first place. The skillet is slightly better. Good size and the temperature is a little easier to control

First usages have been outstanding. But does that diamond Teflon coating eventually start coming off A further review in 12 months might be more useful.

As an older, single user, I would say the metal in the Frypan these days is not as "solid" as the original appliance, however, it does all expected, adequately. The only variance noticed is that the heating element coverage seems to be inconsistent. Not a big deal to me, as easy to move what you are preparing around a bit.The Skillet is a handy bonus when smaller preparations are required. All seems to operate OK.Both are easily cleaned and the common cooking control is handy.

The pans are both beautifully nonstick. ButThere is no lid or second electric plug included for the second skillet (which are included if purchasing separately for only $20-30 more) this means I cant use both at the same time. The small frypan works beautifully and is responsive to the dial. The large fry pan goes hot then cold hot then cold trying to maintain the heat instead of holding a steady temperature. It draws an enormous amount of energy at times, meaning I cant use the microwave and pan at the same time.
Great product. Easy to cook with and so easy to clean. I like the rectangular shape rather than the standard square shape of the frypan. Only downfall is it only comes with one electrical cable so if you need to use both pans at once you would need to purchase (if able) an additional cable.
The skillet performs OK. The Frying Pan seems to have a much more sensitive heat control and makes it easy to over heat food. Also, the heater element has left a permanent brownish burn mark around the pan. Overall, disappointed with this model compared to many Sunbeam models we have purchased over many years.
The Frypan doesn't seem as robust as the original Sunbeam Frypan as has a higher ring to it when struck. Visually thinner also, however, in an overall sense, seems to do what I require as an aged single male cooking the basics. Have noticed though, it is rather selective as to the actual cooking areas in the pan. Have to move stuff around to achieve some means of constancy. Is a lot more convenient to switch it on and get started than firing up the coolktop.The skillet is very handy too for any small one-off meals. Apart from all else so far, does pancakes wonderfully. Haven't tried them in the Frypan as yet, but could have some difficulty with the variable heat areas in the pan overall.Combo is good buy for the price.
A fantastic product, so glad we purchased. Heats up almost instantly and fits all we need for 2 adults and 4 teenagers. Makes cooking easy and easy to clean with a quick wipe. Skillet is fantastic too - great for frying the small batches
For just over $100, this is an excellent buy and a great addition to any kitchen. Wonderful that it's now submersible and dishwasher safe as well. I've purchased a similar fry pan set from sunbeam before, and after a couple of years the non-stick surface does wear and needs replacing. I'm hoping this one might last a little longer.
Great for saving space in small kitchenette - have used both pans for different dishes. Skillet is excellent for omelettes. Took a bit of experimenting to get the heat setting right for chicken cacciatore, but that is par for the course with any new cooking appliance. Easy clean up - that is the best bit.
