I love this heating pad for when my neck and shoulders are all tense from stress or being hunched over a computer. It’s also great for when I sleep wrong and get a crick in my neck. Or even for on days when it’s cold and I just want a little extra warmth while I sit on the couch but don’t want to run up the heating bill for the whole house. There are 4 heat settings for a wide range of intensity. It drapes really nicely over the shoulders and has a wide to help contour and fit around the neck to the front of the shoulders. There’s also a nifty little magnet to keep the ends close over your upper chest, and there’s enough weight to it that it doesn’t slide around or fall off. This is a great heating pad for the price, and I have no complaints!

This heating pad is fantastic! It puts out a lot of soothing heat, but does not get to hot. I especially like the sand/bead weights around the outside edge, they keep the pad in place and help hold in the heat. The neckline seemed a bit small at first, but I have used this every day since Christmas and it is fine now. It actually helps remind me to pull it forward so the neckpad at the back really has a chance to help my neck. The cover material is super soft and feels great on my neck. Also, there are no sharp edges with this pad, it's all soft round corners. This is by far my favorite Christmas present this year!

This heating is the best heating pad ever. I have several neck surgeries completed n the last one had to fusion my spine from C3 to T2 n had 2 metal rods inserted on each side on my upper spine to try to stabilize the repaired spine. The surgery was very successful but there is still some upper neck/shoulder muscle n nerve pain. And muscle pain down along one side of my spine. This heating allows me at rest times n bedtime to wear the heating place on 2nd setting (yellow) n lay down. Within 15 minutes my neck, shoulders n back are relaxing n reducing the pain helping to minimize the nerve pain which remains from my last surgery. It’s great !!! Please make that heating pad it would be very similar to the neck but not high neck pad, must wrap around belly button area n close/hold. Then dangle the back area for low back but make it in a more rectangular shape n longer so it hangs past the butt down into the thighs but it also wraps part of the way around thighs and wraps all the way around butt/low abdomen of the body with those Velcro straps to keep it tight on the person n the heat will get Not only the back but the front of the lower abdominal areas n part of front thighs.Thanks for consideration this type of heating pad.I would buy in a minute!!!!!
I have used an older version of this for 15 years. It was perfect but finally stopped functioning. I ordered this newer model assuming it would be similar but it's way too big for me. It also has a firm bar around the neck which doesn't mold well to my neck so the heating pad doesn't rest on my neck and shoulders and is uncomfortable. I wish Sunbeam still made the older version.
Perfect. A little physically heavier than I expected. Great build quality and function. The cordset is much sturdier than I expected and this makes the cord unwilling to flex as much as I would like. Heat is more than adequate and I run it on Low (selection 1 out of 4) most of the time. The neck hole is large (and I am a male with a large neck diameter) and I sometimes use a scarf to pull the heated hood closer to my neck. The magnet latch on the front is great. The electrical connection is much sturdier than I expected and the connection is able to be unplugged which allows the device to be laundered. The auto-shutoff feature works great and even tells you with a blinking red light that it auto-shutoff. I think that the auto-shutoff shuts off at 2 hours usage.
The heat on the back is good. The neck might work well for someone with a thicker neck. Mine's rather small and long and I can't get good pressure where I need it the most (neck and shoulders). If I pull the wrap into position and hold it then I get good heat delivery, but I like to keep my hands busy so this isn't ideal for me. It would be helpful if the snaps had more positions so I could tighten it. The current set up is far too large and I'm not particularly small (5'5" 138 lbs).The weight of it offers comfort. It sits a little heavily on the shoulders, which I like.The cord is long enough to allow for freedom of movement when I'm sitting at my desk or on the couch. This is the second Sunbeam heating pad for shoulder and neck pain I have purchased. This is the only heating pad that has a high collar for the back of your neck....and heats not only my shoulder area, but high up on the neck which is where I really need it. I have bulging discs, arthritis, osteoporosis, and crepitus in my shoulders and neck and this is the only product that relieves my pain. My first one worked so well I purchased another one for our vacation home. I have a small frame and it fits me very well and has a magnetic closure in the front to keep it in place. I can watch TV or read while using it which is something that can't be done with a regular flat heating pad. Heats very well. Shipping was extremely quick..a few days!

One awesome innovation with these heating pads is that they can be machine washed. I recently washed them for the first and only time, following the exact instructions that are printed directly on the heating pad/s. When I went to use them again not one worked. First I tried one, then the other, then the other, they wouldn’t heat up. It can’t be a coincidence that they stopped working after they were washed. I’m very frustrated because these are not inexpensive heating pads. And if they shouldn’t be washed (or won’t work after they’re washed) they shouldn’t be advertised that are washable!!!
