I only buy Sunbeam irons, but this one is a little disappointing. The soleplate makes hard work pushing the iron over garments ... doesn't glide. Seems to grab or something, and though the iron is using water for steam, you don't see it.

I bought one of these a couple of months ago, and it's the best iron I've owned. It does drink quite a lot of water, but then I like to have it on maximum steam.Easy to use, not too heavy. Makes the job easy.I read the reviews before deciding on this model. I paid full price (boo hoo!!), not on sale... but it's still worth it.

The iron itself seems to function reasonably well,however,it is near on impossible to read the temperature setting as the lettering is way to small.Also the water filler opening is to small when combined with the fact that colour if tank makes it really difficult to ascertain the actual water level,

Compared to my last iron which was cordless, I find this much easier when ironing. With the cordless you had to keep putting the iron back on the station. This iron I don't have to do that. Makes ironing easier

I purchased this iron a few days ago and have found that it continually leaks water through holes on the soleplate when in steam mode. Have tried various combinations of heat and steam settings without any success.
First iron Ive bought in 40 years. Nothing fancy but dies the job really well. Could have paid heaps for an iron but this $79 model is fine!
I'm calling this Iron Cytheria - because she's a squirter! I basically paid $89 for an indoor garden hose. Leaks like running lake. Also - I beeps at you when it goes into hibernation.
Bought this to replace a 20plus year old Sunbeam iron. My old iron had been great so decided I’d just stick with Sunbeam. This and a slightly cheaper model were in stock at my local Harvey Norman. I chose this model as it specifically says on the box “anti drip”. Well that’s false! Drips a lot. It’s okay at max temp max steam for linen. At cooler, dry temperatures it’s not very effective. Very much doubt this one will last 20 years
I loved the idea of auto off, in case you forget to turn the iron off. Unfortunately, it has an annoying, high-pitched alarm after 15 minutes of inactivity, that does not stop. As I do sewing and the iron is on during this time, the alarm constantly goes off.
