This is an awesome product that is simple to use and easy to clean. My husband uses it all the time to pack fish and meat so that it stays fresh for longer.
This is the second FoodSaver we have purchased. Excellent product. Highly recommend. We buy meat/fish in bulk, then use FoodSaver to create dinner-size packs, then freeze. Wouldn't ever be without a FoodSaver!

Very easy to use, great design & portable. Very high suction & also quick for the whole process. Sometimes doesn't vacuum but not sure if it's the bags or the machine. Overall I'm a happy with the product. Bigger than I expected but it's not going to turn you off.
Even though the machine is quite large it is well worth making room for. It seals the roll very quickly and we have used the unit numerous times without any problems..We also used the Foodsaver containers with the hose extention and they are fantastic.
I have been using food savers for over 15 years now. I have purchased the larger one before, then the last 3 have been the smaller model. They last approx 3 to 4 years, they live on my bench as I use them daily. They do add a lot of life to your food items. However, this one that I purchased last is just too big and takes up too much room. The buttons feel cheap, like they will break easily. It is clunky. It does store a plug for using in your car (strange, how many people want this option) plus stores your roll of bags. This is all not necessary, causing it to big very unnecessary large. I have had to remove other items from my bench in order for it to fit. Get the smaller version.
