Sunday Afternoons Eclipse Cap - Deep Blue M

The Eclipse I bought 3 years ago had a great design, it set great on the head, and flaps stayed in place tightly.The newer Eclipse version - not sure when and how exactly it changed - does not sit right for me.... Maybe there is too much fabric or slight design shift... flaps don't stay tight as in old version, and has has wrinkles due to extra fabric.In both versions the adjustable Velcro strap is not good. It loses grip because the "hairy" side of the velcro becomes fluffy and completely loses grip with the "hooks" side after several months. It is annoying, since this is not a cheap hat. Overall not too happy.

Awesome hat

This was my first time ordering a Sunday afternoon's hat. I am very impressed with the eclipse cap. Very lightweight with a nice size bill really cuts down on the glare.

Super high-quality cap! Very elevated with beautiful smooth material that doesn’t wrinkle, different functional elements such as fit adjuster, and quality workmanship. The hidden vents are a really clever idea.

I love this hat. One day I realized I had lost it while out ., I immediately jumped online on my phone to order it .. while I was walking in the street! So relieved the style and color is still in production. Literally, walking down the sidewalk and ordered my replacement! This is my favorite cap and I own 2 colors. I cannot imagine not having them in my life! Please don’t ever stop making this style!

Fan For Life

This is my second hat from Sunday Afternoons. Lost my first hat while riding a roller coaster after 8 years of wear. Best hat for weight, sun protection, world travel packability, comfort, and washability. The hat never retained a salt stain or frayed.

Folds, Fits, Ponytail hole

This is the second Sunday Afternoons Eclipse Cap that I have purchased. My first one has lasted more than a decade and became so faded and stained that I felt a new one was in order. The fold-able bill makes it very pack-able. The hat is not hot, it fits without being to shallow or deep, and does not interfere with sunglasses. I love this hat!

Good fitting but leaves immediate sweat band mark.

I purchased 3 of these prior to using any of them on sunny days. These were suppose to be for warm weather activities and all 3 developed sweat band marks around the brim and hat from sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking.Wish I'd only purchased one but now these are my work hats.

Great Ventilation System

At first, I was a little concern because of the material (polyester), but it's a nice cap. It's light, comfortable. and the ventilation system is a plus (this is what I was looking for). I wish they had more colors and large sizes.

Great hat!

I've worn one of these regularly for about 5 years now, 2-3 times per week, to keep the sun off my head when I run. It's in amazing condition after so much use. My only complaint is that it has finally started to retain a musty smell, an understandable consequence of sweating in it, and at some point the smell becomes intractable, even after scrubbing. But this hat's durability and general good looks have served me very well for a long time.

I haven't found better, so I keep buying these

My favorite cap. First because it comes in two sizes and the bigger one truly fits my larger-than-average head. Second because the rear of the cap doesn't have big gaps that defeat the sun-protective qualities. Third, because the bill is setup so you can easily fold the cap and stash it in a pack or pocket. And very important to me in my use, the flaps that allow me to vent extra heat as needed. With my most recent purchase, I now have all three colors.
