These are awesome, authentic Persol 649's. EZCONTACTS is great cause they have a wide variety of sizes that are hard to find in store, as well as polarized lens options that are also difficult to find. I ordered both the 54 and 52mm lens sizes, and ended up keeping the 52mm as they fit PERFECT. I would recommend the 52mm to most people unless you have a HUGE head. I already have pairs of the folding Persol 714's and 3028's and the 649's complement these nicely. The 649's definitely feel more sturdy than the folding models.

I'm so impressed with EZ Contacts! The service is always amazing and of course the Persols are awesome. It's often difficult to find the 649 Polarized versions in the size 52mm. I find these tend to run a bit large so the 54mm and 56mm are way too large. The blue gradiant polar lenses are great in any condition but especially beneficial on overcast days when you want to reduce glare. But they are also great on very sunny days as well but I prefer the brown polarized lenses on these days. These are a relatively heavy pair because of the glass lenses and the substantial frame but they are still very comfortable and the weight is not an issue. This is my 4th pair of these 649's... all from EZ Contacts. I highly recommend both the glasses and the company.

Had this same frame for 10+ years and it broke when crushed inside my jacket. Searched on the web for replacement and found it available on EZContacts for excellent sale price. Delivery was slightly delayed due to out of stock but no big problem. Received frame 2.5 weeks later and it is fantastic! Great price and easy ordering. Will definitely return to EZContacts next time for eye frame shopping.
Great sunglasses, exactly what I wanted. Perfect large profile for a bigger face, and the lenses arent too dark for late-day use. Lasted about 6 years with heavy use before an unfortunate accident involving a bocci ball and the lens. Definitely getting another pair.
These were researched, compared and debated over for quite awhile by me. I have a small handful of high-quality sunglasses and I wanted to add a vintage look to my collection. What is it with Italians and their sense of style in all things wearable and drivable?! I love them! These sunglasses feel like luxury ( because they are). Steve McQueen knew his "man-wear". The lenses, the thickness of the frames, the perfect frame and fit to my face (medium). I dropped them 5 feet to the floor of the grocery store on day 2; not a scratch. If only I could justify 2,3,4 more colors. Buy them and enjoy your Italian style.
I've owned Persols before so the frame quality was not a surprise. What I was anxious about until they arrived was that I purchased a prescription pair and asked EZContacts to match the blue gradient lenses of the model I was looking at. The original lenses were included in the shipment and you cannot tell the difference. They nailed it. This may not sound like a big deal but other companies only offered prescription lenses in limited lens color options. They were pricy as all prescription lens sunglasses are, but I'm completely satisfied with the results.
The price on this site is unbeatable. I was a bit skeptical that perhaps these were so inexpensive because they were knock-offs, not real Persol. This is my second pair of 0649’s and I cannot see any difference to my significantly more expensive previous pair so conclude that these are in fact authentic. These were back ordered a few weeks so it took longer than expected to receive but the store was good in keeping me updated on status. The glasses look great so I will definitely purchase from EZcontacts again.

I can tell you that these sunglasses are by far among the highest quality glasses I have ever worn. The hinges that allow the glasses to fold are machined to extremely high tolerances. Once you close just one of the several hinges you know that they are made to last. I own 2 pairs of Persol sunglasses, one with green lenses and one with gradient blue lenses both polarized. The lenses are probably the best I have encountered. They are cool looking and everyone I know wants a pair but I will not tell them what brand they are. It happened to me before I found Framesdirect.com. They are honest, friendly and forthcoming I would definitely do business with them again.
