Overall the stepper works fine. Very smooth, stable and easy to use. I like it. However, the attachable counter for time, calories, etc, is a piece of junk. I have replaced the battery twice, it lights up, but does not work. Never has worked. The wiring is properly connected. Too bad, because the rest of the machine is nice.

Just received my new stepper, and I'm very happy with it. It comes 90% assembled; all I had to do was add the handlebar and post, which took about 15 minutes. It's sturdy but not too heavy, so it's easy to move around, and it has a small footprint, roughly 19" sq, making it great for small spaces. The handlebar height can be adjusted, as can the step height but the step tension is fixed. It gets 4 stars because of that and because the handlebar post is a wee bit wobbly, especially when fully extended. Fortunately, it's very easy to balance on the stepper without holding onto the handles.

I really like it but very stiff. I have tried using hair dryer to warm up lubricant as Joseph mentioned but only last for that use. I am afraid to heat up too much as I don't want to damage. I would recommend, will just take some time to be able to use as much as I would like.

Wasn’t sure if this equipment would work with my ‘weight-class’ even though I’m well under the maximum weight mentioned in the details. But, I’m pleasantly surprised; it’s durable and giving me the workout needed in the comfort of my home. The sale price sweetened the deal!!! Win-win!!
For the price, I love it. As others have said, the resistance is quite high. After a bit of use it gets easier, and still can apply more tension so it's not too easy. Doesn't take up too much room and easy to move. Great!
I was not impressed. Part of it was my fault though. I had trouble with balancing on it. I have had knee replacement on one knee and did not realize until I did some research that a stepper that turns is a no-no for me. I have a recumbent bike from Sunny Health and Fitness and love it. I gave the stepper to someone.
I like how compact this machine is. I put in the corner of my living room near the outside wall. I put down a four-piece "puzzle" mat under it to protect the floor. Neither the mat nor the stepper take up a lot of room. I could watch tv if I wanted to. Aside from the fact that some of the holes for the screws weren't lined up well, it wasn't too hard to assemble. I was able to assemble it myself without assistance. Just take your time to do the assembly and remember to re-tighten it a few days later. If you don't have good balance, I am not sure I would recommend this. As others have said, the electronic counter is not great. You need to take out the batteries each time to reset the counter. As others have noted, it doesn't have resistance but it does have a knob for adjusting the height of the step. Note that you can only use it for about 15 minutes at a time (so you don't damage it) so plan to alternate with walking, stretching, or weights if you want to exercise for a longer period of time. It is good for beginners or for those that want a quick break during lunch hour or a remote work break. I was hoping it would less stressful on my knees than walking on concrete but I don't think it is really any better. The dog doesn't seem to love the sound the stepper makes but she doesn't try to interfere with it either. I didn't want a treadmill or rebounder for safety reasons.
I wanted a little something to do while watching tv but have a tight space so a treadmill or bike wasn’t a real option. The stepper is perfect! I work up a real sweat and get my heart rate up. The resistance is adjustable and the foot pedals have grip. Overall, a great at home option that doesn’t take up a lot of space.
It seems rather "tippy"...not enough stability on the base. Also, I have trouble adjusting the tension even by loosening the "nut"...it does not seem to change either be it tight or loose. It is TIGHT all the time. For the price, OK I guess.
What was l thinking?!Will never order from your company again! Steps should be higher so you can feel like you've been exercising. I don't need a machine to take baby steps like with this gadget! WASTE OF MYMONEY! AND YOUR RETURN POLICY SUCKS!!!!
