Worked flawlessly in thick leather, 3mm rubber sheet, shade cloth and polyethylene. These sort of hole punches don't need to be razor sharp as they use the force of a hammer blow to penetrate material. I'm not sure why the other reviewers had problems, I expect they used the tool incorrectly. Place the material on a piece of scrap wood and using a hammer or mallet (rubber or shot filled) give the punch a firm blow (not too hard) and it will cut straight through. If you like, on thicker material give it two consecutive blows without lifting the punch. Clear the cut-out piece(s) from the throat of the the tool before the next hole. That's it! Works great every time.

Blunt, does not work as promised. (‘…clean and accurate holes on gaskets, leather, plastic, vinyl, rubber’). Not worth getting though cheap. Maybe ok for one off project if material is very thin. I’d get better quality, though I couldn’t find better tool on Bunnings online.
These punches are not sharp. Maybe ok for occasional use for the price. Will not punch through thick leather, ok on thin leather. Struggled punching through the plastic packaging it came in and not a clean cut at that. I’d look for better quality if you want the ‘clean and accurate holes’ it doesn’t provide. Couldn’t find anything better quality on Bunnings website, though site has poor search functions.
I bought these thinking that they would cut through a double layer of 70% shade cloth as preparation for applying eyelets. They didn't. Very disappointing.
