Super Mario 3D World

Super Mario 3D World is a positively stellar Mario experience. Do I really need to say more? I guess I should. First of all the controls. While they are simple, they are very tight and responsive. Second, the level design. Although it was dumbed down for multiplayer, it makes it better in my opinion, because multiplayer is just so fun! A great family game. Third, the music. Oh boy, the music. The soundtrack for this game was orchestrated, and that makes it so much better. A great Mario game, whether you like single player, or multiplayer.

I played this first with my husband and was a lot of fun!! Then we played with our friends and it was crazy fun!! I played lots of Marios but this became my favorite because of Cat Mario. The levels are short but it has lot of fun and strategy with friends. My favorite are the rhythm levels! This game highly recommended for everyone,kids and adults. And the graphics are beautiful Stunning!

This is a wonderful outing for a 3D Mario game. It's a fun game to play alone or with others. The Captain Toad stages are fun, but are not my favorite. I do appreciate their inclusion though. The game is simple enough for younger players yet hard enough for achievement hunters to scratch their head.

I would never imagine that jazz fits perfectly in this kind of game.My conclusions, NINTENDO AND EAD TOKIO (developer behind the game) HAS DONE IT AGAIN. A Mario game playing like a video game using the technical power inside the Wii U as if it was a monster computer, you will play this game 10 years from now and it will retain its value. With this game the art style drives the technological power nor the other way around. You will notice that 3D World is how video games should be, pure games.

Excellent addition to the Mario franchise

3D took 30 minutes to get used to, especially after playing 2D platform Mario. Great fun though for this 38 year old child Reminds me of Mario 64 in the look and feel, but obviously the graphics are in HD, and Mario has had a bit of an update since the 90s. Lots of worlds and little puzzle games. You need to find 3 green power stars per course, to unlock other worlds, like in Mario 64. Some aren't easy to find, but you can go back later when you have progressed through the game a little more. Mario can become a cat to climb walls, or a raccoon to swipe enemies with his tail. Any Mario fan will certainly enjoy the game play, and parts of the game make use of the gamepad, such as blowing into the microphone and pulling out steps using your fingers. Good addictive fun.

Great Co-Op Fun For 1-4 Players

It is a good game but lacks true gamer challenge

As most reviews have mentioned this game is gold stars. I agree with this for the most part. I enjoyed the game from start to finish and being a completest i enjoyed the replay of looking for every last star.However coming from a gamer perspective and someone who loves platformers. This game lacked in the challenge department, I found myself go from world to world waiting for the challenge to pick up and it never did. I was wanting some of the challenges I felt from the old days of Super mario 64. While this will not be true for every one it was for a seasoned gamer who enjoyed the brutal difficulty of Rayman Origins, super meat boy, or the Mega man games of old.Some of the annoying things in this game was forcing me to blow on the mic to move platforms. While this is a creative use of the gamepad mic, I got tired of it very quick and eventually despised it and wished I could have had the option to press a button OR blow into the mic. I am glad this was removed from some newer games such as Donkey Kong Country - Tropical Freeze.Over all though this game is awesome. It was allot of fun to play with friends. There were some minor issues of deaths and falling off the screen when playing with buddies but still fun none the less. The creativity in this game is way up there and the main reason why i still buy Nintendo hardware.If you like platformers get this game, if you need brutal difficulty maybe rent this first just to test it out and see if it fits. I enjoyed it regardless and will keep the game for when my kids are old enough to play with me.

It's Mario at his best!!

This has quickly become one of my absolute favorite Mario games!! The game play is so much fun. There is so much to explore on each level that you'll find yourself running out of time. I have found myself replaying many of the levels, which is not something I normally enjoy. As typical Mario, the levels become more challenging as you advance, but not frustratingly so. It's a perfect combo of old and new Mario alike. The new cat suit adds so much extra to this game. In my opinion, this is a Mario game that multiple age groups will enjoy. Every Wii U owner should have this in their collection!!

While the gameplay is very simple and the level design is minimalistic, that does not mean the gameplay is boring. The levels are engaging, and there are secrets everywhere. The prices are way better than eBay's, and the costumer service is amazing! Also, the shipping was super quick! I live in Israel and it got to me a week after ordering! Super Mario 3d world is my favorite 3d Mario, because of its quick nature of jumping into a level with friends or alone.
