This was not listed as an import, but upon receiving it I saw on the back it is region B and will not play with standard players in the USA. Should have be listed appropriately or perhaps show the back cover so we could see it would not work. Very disappointing.

Watching this again definitely overloaded my feelings of nostalgia! The picture and sound quality was amazing. I highly recommend this classic! The special effects still hold up as well!
Super Mario Brothers The Movie on bluray from Umbrella Entertainment lists itself as a Region B release. However, it is region free. Picture quality is great. The unedited cut is NOT the Morton-Jankel cut, and it hasn't been touched up at all. Extras are great. A real find for fans of the movie.
Featuring reversible cover art, a new 55 minute documentary and a workprint of the film containing a bunch of deleted scenes - this is a great value disc for the price. This much maligned 90's film looks incredible in high def on the big screen.
Right away you should know this Blu-ray Disc does work in a Region A USA Blu-ray Player. The movie looks incredible in full 1080p, with a wonderful audio track. It comes with fantastic Bonus Features like the This Aint No Game Featurette a 60 minute in depth documentary. Making of Featurette, Original Electronic Press Kit with Cast Interviews and Behind-the-Scenes Footage. Galleries - Stills, Storyboards and Concepts. The US Theatrical Trailer, and the Extended Workprint with Deleted Scenes. Every single Bonus Feature is truly worth it! If your a fan of the movie, and want all the extras you can handle with a extended version of the movie with deleted scenes then this edition is for you!
After a long time waiting for another Super Mario Bros Blu-ray release with having an region free option and this new edition is really worth the wait! The big treat in this release is the extended workprint cut of the film is the raw version and not the remastered SMB archive version but still great to own!
This presentation of the original Super Mario Bros. movie is what fans have been waiting for. The special features are one of a kind. They contain candid honest interviews that should put smiles on fans' faces. The picture quality is remastered to perfection. Highly recommend purchasing this product.
