I am enjoying it so far but there seems to be a favour for motion controllers for mini games which isn't for me. All the bonus additions such as bowser take down and rally race are spoiled as you can't play them with people within your own household, only online and on your own. Which defeats the purpose of Mario Party, well for me anyway, as it is a party game for me to play with my friends. At best for my game play, its a few new boards and mini games (some are just reskins) in addition to my Mario Party Super Stars. Doesn't need the motion controller gimick and I would like to play the newer game play options with my friends and household at home. There are many new elements to the game and they all make for the best Mario party release so far. Solo mini game quests, new boards, new playable characters and much more. The only “negative” aspect is that the computer / AI character is really hard to play against. When I’m playing with my friends I’d rather be playing against them rather than us against the computer. Overall, it’s fun and fast paced. Plenty of great new additions with great graphics and makes for hours of fun.

I wouldn't have cared if it was all good fun, but in the results menu I got 0 points towards rank progression, whereas everyone else got 1000 (4700 needed to C rank on pros mode). Pro mode or not you need those points to progress a battle pass type reward system, which has ranks throughout as well. So getting nothing after 2 hrs of getting gut punched is kind of a rip off honestly. That is such a harsh penalty especially how tricky the maps are. Depending on the players they can be merciless, but most of the items and best spaces involve stabbing someone in the back. So idk, it's kind of chaotic and you could lose a lot of time towards tiered unlockables, even if you're playing at your best. Anyways that's it pretty much.

I pre-ordered and the game was ready for in-store pickup on release day. The bag is being shipped and is due to arrive 8 days after release. Many of the mini-games are longer, I love the option to play as a pro. The graphics sure have come a long way and they made sure to keep the "Ha, you got Mario Partied!" element for those of us who are addicted to Mario Party. I haven't unlocked everything yet but my grown kids and I are having a great time discovering. Some of the boards allow many options for how to get to the star. Of course, there are a lot of new items, new shops and the ally steal is wild. We hoped to have team play options but haven't seen that yet, except in mini-games.
We haven't played everything it has to offer but the game has really great presentation and the gameplay loop doesn't feel stale at all. The minigames were challenging but approachable. Definitely an indoor date night or family night or a kids party right choice if you're not sure if you should buy it or not. There are joycon exclusive minigames but you can disable them and use pro controllers the whole time if you want to. Content has plenty to do so definitely worth $60, plus it has online play. Overall 9.5/10 but would be 10/10 if it had DLC to add courses in the future.

My family and I love Mario party. This is another great entry to the series. A nice variety of boards and a mix of new and old mini games. It's never over until it's over in Mario party!One critique is the standard Mario party board matches mode seem to take longer than other entries, but can play online and includes a 3 month nintendo online subscription.Highly recommended addition to any fun game night.Best buy always delivers fast and with care.
We are HUGE Mario Party fans and this newest release did not disappoint. Game play is a bit different than the prior versions, but challenging and fun nonetheless. The “Friend” element is very different this game, everyone has a chance to win them via gameplay, you can only have one Friend at a time, and after three rounds the Friend goes away. It levels the playing field a bit better than the other versions. Like the new boards and most of all…you can play as Toad and Toadette (favorites in our house). Highly recommend for folks who already love Mario Party games.
Mario Party Jamboree has brought so much fun to our family nights! We all love the mix of classic Mario characters and new surprises there’s always something that gets us laughing or cheering each other on. The mini-games are super entertaining and just the right mix of skill and luck, so no one feels left out, no matter their gaming level. Even the board layouts keep us guessing and strategizing, and it’s impossible to predict who’s going to win until the very end. It’s so fun and engaging that we lose track of time every time we play. Highly recommend it if you want a game that keeps everyone excited and engaged!But we have not played online yet soon we try that out.

It has about 12 characters to choose from and 5 fun maps. it has a shop you can buy things from to customize your menu and it has a mode, unique to every character, where you can play and get rewards and such. (like a single player mode) Like the previous title, you can also play online with players around the world.
