The cam is great, easy to program, picture quality is good, not sure if its as good as my spotlight for sensitivity recording. The big failure is you CAN NOT access the red/blue lights via the swann mobile app. You can the siren/spotlight. The whole point is deterent and yet the primary feature CANNOT be accessed. This is a big miss from Swann. The spotlight does not deter just helps with colour. So if you had it programmed to only use red/blue at night, but wanted to activate during the day randomly via app as your out, you can not do this. So it's either always on or accept its limited use. You can use the siren of course. I emailed Swann and just got a simple "doesn't do it, no intention to add it." SWANN CAMERAS ARE OUTSTANDING UPGRADE FROM THE RING CAMERAS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED.
I'm an long in years IT guy and the wifi is unacceptable. I was told that is the connection is far from the NVR move to mesh which I have. I setup several mesh cameras cause they are at a distance from the DVR which reception is poor. Having the camera's on mesh is supposed to allow you to move the dvr anywhere because its connected to the router. Well I moved the DVR to a permanent home only to find the MESH device changed in range worse then it was. This is really un acceptable since the MESH camera's only talk to the routers supposedly but its not.
