Swann SWIFI-TRACKCM32GB Tracker Security Camera

We live in a pretty sketchy area of town, so a security camera was almost a “must have†. While searching around at Lowes, I saw the Swann Tacker. To be honest at first I was kind of skeptical, but I was proved wrong. The set up was very quick painless! The Swann App was very easy to navigate, not a bunch of useless options or buttons. The quality and functionality of the camera, especially the tracker. The Swann Tracker has caught 2 packages being stolen. The quality of the camera was so good the individual was identified arrested. Thank You Swann for keeping my home a safe place!

The picture is really clear and was the easiest to set up. It's small enough to fit anywhere.The app is easy to use. It works well in detecting motion. Their are settings in the app for maximum use for your needs. The best is their is no monthly fees. Thanks to Swann I now know what keeps coming to my door late a night. I look forward knowing that I can see what comes to my door before opening.

Best tracking security system!!

Easy set up

I have a doggy camera mounted on the wall in my living room so that I can check on my dogs, but it is a little outdated and the microphone on it sounds muffled and it scares my dogs. This camera is excellent. It shows the live view of my living room, and plays live sound without being glitchy or laggy. It took only a couple of minutes to set up, and the app did most of the set up for me. This camera includes features such as auto tracking, meaning it follows moving objects, and a 180 degree viewing angle. It also includes 2-way audio which is great for talking to my dogs while I'm gone, or scaring off intruders if that were to ever unfortunately happen. The box included the camera with magnetic base, a micro sd card, cable and plugs, wall mount, instructions, and stickers to put on your windows letting potential intruders know that they'll be caught on surveillance if they enter your home. I love that I can simply open up an app and check out what's going on. I get nervous leaving my doggies at home if they're not feeling well or if I'm going to be gone for an extended period of time, so this lets me check in on them. I also like having a sense of security when I'm traveling. The app actually alerts me when motion is detected, so that is an excellent feature. I can see what's going on right away and start recording if I need to do so. I highly recommend this camera. It has amazing picture quality and so many great features.

Good temporary setup

Purchased three cameras. Two were easy to set up on app the third was a bit tricky as it wouldn't connect. Image is great during the day and love the fact you can hear and speak through the camera. Movement notifications not so great when you have dogs but a really good feature. It loses a star for me as night vision is useless and was the whole reason we got these cameras. Overall, I decent set up for a temporary option.

And while there are different levels of sensitivity regarding motion sensing, even at the lowest setting it notices almost any movement. This could be a plus or minus, but I consider it a plus...there isn’t much chance the Tracker will miss a thing.The app will alert you when it sees movement, and so I often turn this off when it’s a normal day at home for all the alerts I get, and instead turn it on at night or when we are away. I’d like for the app to set automatic times for the camera to use its motion sensing, so I wouldn’t have to remember to set it every night.The app allows you to turn on an alarm (which is moderately loud, but effective), speak through the camera, and to manually record or take photographs. Too you can pan and tilt the lens, which does come in handy.As for the app, Swann does update it quite regularly, and this is certainly commendable, and gives me hope that the app will get better, as there are some problems with it. Most notably, the app has a hard time deleting videos on the cloud. If you try to delete many at a time it tells me the operation failed. If I do one or two at a time, it appears to work, but after I’ve refreshed, the videos reappear. This is annoying, but because the videos only remain saved for a week, time will do the job for you I suppose. On this point, any recordings or photographs can be saved to your phone so they won’t be lost if there is something you want to keep for longer than a week.Too, for the first week or two it was about a 50% chance whether I could go into the camera settings or not, half the time hanging up waiting for the camera to become available. My camera does sit very near my WiFi router, so it isn’t a matter of internet connection. That said, I have noticed this problem has mostly gone away the last week or two, so an update might’ve solved this issue for the most part.And again, Swann isn’t sitting in their hands, but rather improving the app frequently, so it’s only a matter of time before some of these annoyances are a thing of the past.And so I consider the Tracker a success, and I do recommend. Well done!

Nice features for a small camera

Been using this indoor camera for a week and it's working well. Setup was pretty straight forward although had to update the camera firmware, which required a power restart. The wide angle view is truly 180 degrees though it does provide a very fish eye view. The auto tracking (using digital zoom) is a nice feature to see more detail, and works well.Suggest the power cord can be a bit longer given the camera can be mounted up high.As a security camera, I was disappointed to not be able to configure the siren in the Away mode. That is, when movement is detected in Away mode, sound the Siren.Or I'm missing something.Overall, very stable app and hardware. Good buy!

Not bad but not very good either

I purchased this camera as it was recommended bc of the great price for the features. It is a great camera compared to others I have seen/used on the market however I believe the software is very basic and can only be viewed from mobile devices. I have extremely good internet service however the video and talk function do not always work right off. Also the playback function will not work at all. The night vision feature only works on the highest video quality setting. I tried to find computer software to see if it would be better but haven't found anything. The camera itself is pretty good quality and build for the price but I don't understand why it will not function as smooth as advertised. If you are serious about getting a camera for true security I would not recommend this one.

Swann Tracker Camera

Love this wifi enabled security cam. Motion detection will alert me and snap a video of detection. It has only taped me arriving home when I forgot to disable. One time purchase is best and if intruder happens to be in the house you can call police. No endless monthly surveillance companies or fees doing the same. Take your home security into your own hands. Bought this device at Lowe's on sale for $40. Great purchase

WHAT a Collosal waste of time & money.

Camera software is out of date.Camera only accepts an SSID pasword of a-f 0-9. Took 5 days & 7 hours to be told this.Have spent hours online chat & phone to Swann US.Terrible service.Camera still wont delete recordings fron SD card.2 weeks & still waiting for a resolution from Swann.Buy a better product.
