I like Swanson Organic Cocoa powder. It is unsweetened so you can add a sweetener of your choice. I put a teaspoon into my smoothie and it has a nice chocolate taste. I just received my order for 2 more.

For me, there are two affordable and available types of cocoa, natural and dutch processed. Natural tends to have the nutritional benefit and the dutch processed the taste I want. I think this is good cocoa, its natural and you are definitely getting it from a good source.

I purchased this powder and we loved it so much that this time I ordered 3! I make my son's chocolate milk with it. He loved Nesquik but it is full of "junk". This is a much better product and the chocolate milk even taste better. I didn't tell my very picky son I switched, I just made it and he never said anything. I mix a cup of water with 2/3 cup cocoa powder in a small pot over med. heat. Stir constantly! When it starts to heat up I add 3/4 cups of organic sugar (any kind). I let it boil for a few minutes to thicken up. Lower heat and let simmer, constantly stirring for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp of vanilla. Let cool completely and pour in jar. Store in fridge. I mix the syrup with milk in a 1/2 gallon mason jar. It ... MoreI purchased this powder and we loved it so much that this time I ordered 3! Cocoa

First of all, I love Swansons. Buy from them all the time. I have given up using most cocoas because of the very high cadmium content. I subscribe to Consumer Lab and looked up cocoa there, because of my concerns with cadmium. Consumer Lab does not recommend many of the cocoas on the market because of their high cadmium content. They do recommend Swanson, as the cadmium is very, very low. If you are buying just for flavor, that is good news. However, if you are buying for health benefits, the Swanson brand is very, very low in bioflavonals, so you would not be getting the health benefits you think you are. Because of this, I would give it a rating in the medium range, and would recommend it for flavor but not for the health benefits.

This brand has very high quality taste. Its size is good and enough to make many recipes. It taste so much good and I use it with the protein powder and it is used in many sweet recipes and good for people who follow a diet.

The powder seems to be absorbed much more easily in liquids than other cocoa powders I've used. I can't perceive any bitterness whatsoever, another plus over other cocoa powders. With cocoa powder becoming less available worldwide, the price is among the best I've shopped.

This Cocoa powder is really good. I was looking for an organic Cocoa powder that's unsweetened and this fills the bill perfectly. Aside from the occasional smoothie, my main use is to flavor my energy gel that I make from scratch at home. I am a cyclist and I'm tired of the junk that's out there for us endurance athletes, so I make my own. But if it doesn't taste good, it doesn't get eaten. This Cocoa powder is just right. It's wonderfully rich in it's chocolate taste, and I control the sweetness with the other ingredients that I choose. I am so thankful that I found this!

YUMMY ORGANIC TREAT
3 September 2015

These make a great snack food.Only 16 grams of sugar in an entire bag.I like to add to my oatmeal and dry cereals.Best use is carefully pressing into almond butter on organic bread. Larger slices of strawberries work best.If using only one slice of organic bread (or the pesticides infested GMO bread), make sure to generously coat top side of bread with nut butter. Cashew butter is great, too.Press berry slices to secure. Fold bread slice in half.Enjoy with almond milk, hot cocoa or coconut water.Yummy treat. You could also butter bread with cow butter and carefully arrange berry slices on the creamy butter. Have not tried, but might be tasty treat.Less sugar than jams, jellies, maple syrup and honey.Indulgent delight.

Swanson is an okay brand, but their cocoa powder leaves much to be desired. It lacks any discernible flavor and fails to deliver the rich and indulgent taste that one expects from cocoa powder. Unfortunately, this product falls short in terms of quality and fails to enhance the overall experience of enjoying a cup of hot chocolate or baking with cocoa powder.
