I ordered this probiotic on 09/26/15. I received 2 bottles with Mfg date 04/14. Probiotics should be used within 12 months from date of manufacture. The product was already 5 to 6 months PAST best use by date by the time I received it. I was not warned that I would be receiving inferior product. This is totally unacceptable. I have not ordered from Swanson since.

This product was recommended to my by a friend who said it made her hair grow super fast. As my hair grows very slowly i decided to give it a try! Not only is my hair growing faster but my finger nails are growing super fast and are much stronger than usual. I highly recommend this product!!

Received 13 month old bottles of probiotic with a note that says "probitics are generally stable for one year past manufacture date; however, we feel our probiotics continue to be beneficial even after one year." They go on to say that testing found their probitics were tested beyond one year and found that activity levels still meet label claims. Well I ordered 240 capsules so I have no idea if the probiotic level will be effective during months 14 thru 22 after manufacture. I don't appreciate recieving questionable product. I am a first time (and only time) customer because this was certainly not the way to win my continued business.
Most excellent strain to introduce into your gut biome. I take once a week with other good strains like multi-probiotic strains that contain reuteri and gasseri. The more beneficial strains you can introduce into gut the better is my opinion. But don't take these continuously as your only probiotic. You really want a variety of good strains in your biome. I intend to do a batch of probiotic ciders with this strain but as of yet have not performed this experiment; it probably should work though.
I am fine with this product, seems to work among the soil based probiotics category. May be constipating if someone is prone to that.
I’ve been taking bacillus coagulans for IBS-D for some time now. I usually purchase a different brand but I’ve used Swanson before for other supplements so I trust they will make this one potent ingredient as well.
My husband and I took this and both liked it. But now it has increased in price, so not sure we will keep using. It did not upset my sensitive stomach at all. Great form of probiotic.
