This is the best "entry-level" helmet I've ever used. This helmet is comfortable, lightweight, and the vents offer a nice mix between warmth and breathability. The back-band tightening mechanism is easy to adjust and sets this helmet apart from its competitors in the "entry-level" space.

This is definitely a high quality helmet, especially for the price (even more if you get it on sale). You get MIPS and Sweet Protection's impact zone protection in a stylish package that brings a new contender to the freeride helmet category. The only issue is that the fit is suited more for narrow heads. I unfortunately have a rounder head and so I get pinched on the sides while the front/back feel fine. I had to return, but I was sad to do so. It would be awesome if sometime down the road they updated the fit.

The quality of the helmet was great, especially for the price. I like the look as well, it's offering a new option for freeride helmets that have so long been dominated by the Maze or the Ledge. Unfortunately, it just did not fit my head well. If you have a rounder head shape, this might not be the helmet for you. I found that it squeezed the sides of my head but there was ample room in the back/front. So definitely consider this helmet if you have a more narrow head, try it on if you can.

As the title says, neither of those two sizes fit well even with the adjustable knob on the back. However, I will say my two brothers have the same L/XL size of this helmet and absolutely love it. I'm sure the helmet is warm and would keep you safe, which is why I recommend it. Also, you probably want to go a size above what you think you need, if you think your head is small, go with a medium/large. If you think your head is average size go with large/extra large. Might be out of luck if your head is bigger than average, but it's worth a try with evo's great return policy.
The Large/XL size of helmet is too narrow and cannot be worn on my head. Would prefer sizing charts to have length and width instead of just head circumference. looks good though, the Large/XL should fit for those with round heads in the medium fit circumference range.
This is a solid helmet. The build quality is impressive and has a sleek, low profile design which I like. The ear pads are very comfortable. Fits well and you can adjust it with the dial pad in the back.
From its sleek design to its top-notch safety features, this helmet has it all. The fit is snug and comfortable, and the adjustable vents provide great temperature control on unpredictable days. The MIPS technology offers an extra layer of protection, giving me peace of mind knowing my noggin is in good hands. The magnetic buckle is a small detail, but it makes a big difference in convenience and ease of use. It's a purchase I'll never regret - safety, style, and comfort all rolled into one!
This and previous model of Looper helmets are just odd in their fitment - never had any brand fit like this. I'm in the XL and chart states my head is at the lower-end of the range (as expected, should be plenty of adjustment available) but even one or two clicks of the boa system tightened makes it feel far too tight at the sides and (oddly) top of the helmet. It feels like there's a flat spot rather than a dome shape at the top of the helmet. Tried various fit-pads included for both this model and non-MIPS Looper but nothing worked. Apparently my head doesn't work with the Sweet Protection human head schematic which is strange. Can't imagine I'm the only one (Smith, Giro, Arai, Cannondale, Glade, etc never had an issue like this with). Too bad because it's good ... MoreThis and previous model of Looper helmets are just odd in their fitment - never had any brand fit like this. I didn’t buy this product. I actually just bought 2 very inexpensive bike skewers and they are great. However, I will use this platform to espouse the benefits of wearing a helmet when participating in action sports. I was an avid skier for many years and I had some close calls in the trees. Helmets are great! They weren’t used at the time which in hindsight seems silly. I see kids doing street stunts on bikes and skateboards and I hope they don’t think helmets are uncool. They are cool, smart and hopefully not ever necessary. But you should buy one just in case.
Wanted to love this helmet and nearly could but the fit is just very odd compared with other helmets - it's like there is a flat at the top that I cannot get dialed in correctly with any positioning or cage adjustment. The size charge says I'm at the lower range for this bucket but even with the boa tightened barely a click the sides are tight feeling and top feels like it's pressing down. Anything else is too loose. Just a weird fit - perhaps just me but I've never had a helmet sizing issue like this with years of many types of very average shaped models from bike to motorcycle and others. Quality seems great though and it's very lightweight for the feature set. Recommend but (obviously) try it on. Fit is everything. This one just fits very uncomfortably for me.
