I’ve always wanted to try a clay mask by Swisse for a very long time. Now that I finally got to do so, I thought to myself why did I wait so long to try it before!!! As soon as you open the jar, you get hit with an almost lolly-like scent. It’s so yummy - I couldn’t wait to get it on my face!\n\nIt was very easy to use; all you have to do is apply a layer of the mask all over your face. Leave the mask on for ten minutes, and remove using warm water. Very simple and you are left with nice and clear, bright, glowing skin. It is free from parabens and sulphate, which is very important to me and is definitely something that I look for in my skincare. So I think Swisse have just about created a perfect range and every product of theirs I try has been fantastic value with exactly the ingredients I love to use. \n\nThe Cranberry Pore Perfecting Clay mask is a lovely balance of detoxifying and brightening. I have long been in the chemical exfoliant camp over using scrubs on my skin (which is reasonably sensitive) so this mask was a lovely gentle blend of exfoliating acids and clay which left my skin soft and fresh but without feeling tight, dry or irritated. I have noticed a difference in the time it is taking any blemishes to heal and also a nice tightening of pores and overall clarity. My first impression was that upon opening the jar the product was a very creamy pink/ pale red colour, it reminded me a lot of ruby chocolate. The product itself was very smooth and silky and had a very strong fragrance that reminded me of cherry (not a fan of cherry). It comes in a solid jar and I was pleasantly surprised that the jar was pretty much full of product, no skimping here. I can see that using the mask once or twice a week as directed, the jar would last a decent amount of time. My only concern with this is that it says it’s suitable for all skin types, and although I have normal skin, I’d be concerned that this can be quite drying and might not be right for dry skin. I would suggest if you have drier skin making sure that you don’t use it any more than once a week. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a natural clay mask that will help with enlarged pores.\n

Not uncomfortable though, just how a regular clay mask would feel. Removing the mask was quite easy with an old washer and water. Previously I used the origins pink clay mask however I find that this provides the same tightening effect but without the abrasive agents, so is more suitable for my sensitive skin. I felt that it tightened my pores and allowed for better regulation of skin sebum by clearing out any clogged pores\n- All natural face mask so you know you aren’t putting anything harsh like alcohol, fragrances etc onto your face! So important for us girls with sensitive skin, I didn’t feel any pain or intolerance putting this on- it was cooling and calming (up until it hardens of course haha) \n- Smell is a little strange and strong but I don’t dislike it, its so minor that its negligible\n\nI’m really so impressed by this mask, Swisse is known to me as a vitamin brand so I may have never thought to buy this or try it previously.
