I really ordered this by mistake, thinking it was a DVD recorder too, not just a player. Nevertheless, the shipping was fast, I tested it for playing in VHS and DVD modes and recording in VHS. All worked fine. Need to sell it.

We had over 100 video movie tapes that I gave my daughter & grandkids.., I was relieved when I found this product at a reasonable price so they could play the movies and enjoy watching them together. My daughter said that both the vhs and DVD players work.. Thank You for keeping the cost reasonable

I really love my new VCR/DVD combor but there are a few things that make it less than perfect. Three composite hook-ups-- but only one is a full left/right video. This means that you can't route your cable or video game through this player and use it as a multi-input without loing sound quality. Doesn't support as ride of a range of formats-- DOES NOT play Video CDs and other more rarely used formats. So far, everything works really well and seems to be really quality. However, this probably isn't going to be your main DVD player.
This is our 2nd purchase for this used/pre-owned brand and model DVD/VCR Combo unit. I bought this to play the many VHS tapes I have. I always buy three units at a time since they are all used out there. It works as it should, although since it is no longer made and the ones now available for sale are used and/or refurbished don't expect to get too much use out of it. We were lucky to get one year's use out of it. Overall, a worthy purchase to do the job it is designed to do: It plays vhs video tapes and DVDs. Also, realize that depending on where you buy it, you may not get a remote control unit with it, so be sure to know what you are buying
Very satisfied for the price! It was like new no scratches every thing that I tried seemed to work ok! I didn't do any recording however..
I needed a vcr to use in my classroom. This is a very good one, resonably priced with free shipping. Great for those of us on a tight budget. The picture is very clear. The only drawback, and it was my fault that I didn't check closer, is that I had to hook it up to an older TV and it did not have the right cable connection. I ended up having to get a converter box that cost as much as the dvd/vcr player. Oh well, live and learn.
Having old v.h.s. tapes, I wanted a product reasonably priced but one that specifically showed, "tested". This proved to be the deciding factor, as it plays our v.h.s. tapes wonderfully where we were able to share good memories w/our kids. The CD player also works well, a plus.
Cuz I have so many I didn't realize I had that many VHS tapes and some I'm going to redo some movies and TV's
This model is just like the one we've been using, except that it plays VHS tapes without trying to eat them. Our old remote even works with this player...bonus!
