Received the double boiler and was anxious to use it. Very happy with the pot. But when I went to use it the handle on the bottom pot was broken in shipment and my husband had to glue it back on. also, noted that the handle on the bottom pot was not securely tightened.very disappointed to say the least.

This is an AWESOME buy!!! Works perfectly, big enough for a substantial job but just the right size if you have smaller dishes in mind. Perfect size and it was a fantastic buy, I definitely recommend!

This pan sucked. Tried to make toffee with it and I couldn't get the temperature hot enough make it (according to the thermometer) and it leaked the water out of the bottom pan through where the handle is attached. Nothing good to say, just disappointed overall.
What can I really say? I purchased the 3 quart double boiler (I guess they're calling it a 'steamer' even though it has no steamer rack).The item performed pretty much as I expected it to, and while it's a T-Fal, I'm expecting the same level of quality I've come to expect from other T-Fal products I currently own. It's still too early to comment on durability, (since this item has only been used once).The handles stay cool while using this product, and the see through lid is a great idea (I haven't used this yet, as the only time I used it was to melt chocolate, which needed constant stirring).
I was looking for a Bridal Shower gift. Saw the Farberware, like I have at home, but really liked some of the features of the T-fal A90996Specialty 3 Quart double boiler. The price was good, delivery - although I paid to have it gift wrapped with a card - that was not done!- was extra because I could not have it shipped in time to the store! Can not recommend this item, since it was a gift!
Do not buy this thinking you are getting a steamer. This is actually a boiler. The label on the packaging states it's a double boiler. I loved the idea of having a larger pot to hold more water seeing how I routinely run my steamer dry. However, this wasn't the solution I was looking for. Instead, I got a mislabeled product online. The item is actually a double boiler.
Wife and I wanted a double boiler to make more interesting desert items and we had a gift card, so we chose this one as apposed to the other ones due to price. And it works fine, at least we think so. Fudge still doesn't come out right, but that's probably our fault. The only complaint is that it's so big, and we never make big batches to make use of the volume. Dipping tings in chocolate will probably still be done in the microwave with a bowl, but otherwise it's fine.
cheap flimsy cookware, not at all up to what i used to know as t-fal. i can bend the sides of the pots with my fingers.the milk got scorched even though this is a double boiler, might as well been sitting on an open flame.
A great double boiler and 2 wonderful pots, if used separately. I've always wanted a double boiler but am glad I waited and got this one! It even has a tiny opening in the lid to let off just the right amount of excess steam when cooking over water. Great price, great purchase!
