I had the chance to try the T-Rex Waterproof Tape recently to seal a shed roof leak and I can say this tape is awesome. My shed has a galvanized steel roof and it was leaking at a joint between roof panels where the caulk was cracked from the Florida sun. I simply applied the tape overlapping the good caulk by 3 inches on each side as a temporary repair and waited for the next good rain. Next cool front we had come in it was a pounding rain, at about 2 inches per hour in the worst cell, with alot of heavy wind and the tape held up better than I had hoped. There was no leak, not even a drop, and the next day it showed no signs of pulling up anywhere even with winds that were at times 40+mph. Will definitely use this tape again if I ever need to.

just bought it to fix leak in some pvc. absolute garbage. wont stick to the leaking suface like it says it does. moisture just nullified the adhesive. totally contrary to product packaging description. will be returning. what a waste of fuel.

Does NOT work underwater as it states. Tried emptying the pool to tape over the leak, even that can up eventually. I have had one that worked previously, but I bought 2 from different suppliers & both were useless. Waste of money as it's super expensive.
This tape's packaging claims in bold lettering "even works underwater". Well, IT DOES NOT! I followed the directions: cut an oversized piece, peeled off the backing, and tried to attach it to the opening to be sealed underwater. It immediately lost all "stickiness" upon contact with water. So much for 'ferociously strong tape' also claimed in bold oil the packaging. $10 down the drain.
The T-Rex waterproof tape is a solid product. It performs up to its claim of waterproof tape but is also very durable. I used this to patch some leaky years on my pop-up canopy for tailgating and working in the elements outdoors. I have not tried on holes larger than the width of the tape but I would think with slight overlap of tape it would seal as intended. They may also have larger and longer rolls of this tape that I am not aware of. Overall this is a great product compared to similar versions I have used in the past. I would definitely recommend for the right application.
I own a farm and have horses, and horses are why I can't have nice things. USUALLY. But when (not if, WHEN) the horses play, they rip, break, chew, and destroy their blankets. Some blankets cost upward of $350 each. I usually buy Rambo blankets (from Horseware Ireland) because otherwise they're horsey chew toys within the first 10 minutes and "another [blanket] bites the dust." They rarely hold for more than a month, but it's cheaper than buying a new blanket.I saw this tape and thought, "I'm tired of sewing, I don't have time for this nonsense." I saw a rip, taped from the inside first, then taped the outside. This black tape covers problem areas and blends into darker fabrics as if there was never an issue in the first place. I've tried this with four blankets so far this year and they've all held up beautifully. I'm very impressed, considering I have 3 geldings who are 4 years old here at the farm. I've tried just about every kind of tape/repair kit/sewing stitch/sutures/desperate measures you can imagine, and this is, by far, the most effective. Thank you! You could make a fortune with this tape from my farm alone--if you market to horse people, you're going to be swimming in a pool of money à la Scrooge McDuck (although you might need a bigger pool, considering I'm buying my fifth roll to repair old blankets and giving them new life. This T-Rex Waterproof Tape is a high quality tape product to me. It's easy to use to repair a common problem of a leaky water hose. A water hose takes a beating outside in the summer. Before using the tape, make sure to clean the area, so it can cure well. The tape is super sticky and hard to get off, so be sure to get it right the first time around. It does create a waterproof seal. The tape is formulated to withstand extreme temperatures from -70°F to 200°F. It also is UV-resistant, so it won't break down under the summer sunlight. The tape is also flexible when applied. It says it works under water, but I haven't had a need to try that yet.

I used this product to tape the two pieces of my holder together with the expectation that the product would work. This product surpassed my expectations. As seen in the photos, the amount of stickiness this product contains is mind blowing. I have no doubt in my mind that this product will last for a long time. I also love the fact that this product is waterproof! I use my cell phone holder a lot during the summer and especially when my family and I go swimming. Freezing the tape in a home refrigerator has no effect on the performance meaning that leaving it in the truck during the winter for an emergency patch will be fine. Heating the tape in the toaster was a fail, anything over 120 was burning my hands so I didn’t test the upper limit.I did two tests which sold me on this products usefulness.First, I filled a cracked 5-gallon with water and applied the tape over the crack from the inside of the crack (under water). Once wet, it seemed like the tape was not sticky against my skin. However, once I applied pressure, the tape stuck to the bucket and stopped the leak. Then I tried to pull the tape off and it did come off easier that if the surface were dry. If you apply it with a lot of pressure, the tape bonds even better. It stopped the leak.Second, I tested its adhesion under pressure. I took a split garden hose and turned the water on. With the water flowing out of the split, I rubbed the surface free of surface dirt. The first wrap I slightly stretched the material, keeping the adhesive relatively thick. I noticed a slight bulge so I wrapped it a second time stretching the material more and providing support for the first wrap.Keep rolls around for an inexpensive fix for many urgent situations. When emergencies happen, this is a quick way to slow/stop a leak so that you have time to think.
