I rarely write reviews for anything, but I had to for this wonderful tea. I first received it as a Christmas gift, and was blown away by how delicious it was. Earl Grey teas are usually hit or miss for me, as they tend to be rather perfumy, which isn't my cup of tea (hah!), but this tea was a wonderful surprise. It had a complex fruity floral flavour that wasn't perfumy at all, and had a really clear, bold taste. I have since ordered it for myself, as it is one of my favourite teas. I absolutely adore it! I do wish it was sold in stores in Canada though. The tin is adorable, and can be repurposed (if you're crafty), or just used for storage so that's neat too.

This is my favorite tea, drinking since 2014 when an Aussie couple moved, opened a beautiful café in Miami & I was hooked. I purchased through them & then started purchasing through T2, then USA distribution. However now ALL US IS CLOSED. The refill foil price has sky rocketed and shipping to the US is $30 unless I purchase over $100. I’ve emailed T2 SO many times and purchasing from Amazon is unpredictable and they DO NOT sell French Earl Grey loose tea! Yes, I’m being completely dramatic but it’s my TEA. Over these 8+ yrs even made T2 French Earl Grey biscotti & scones for gifts. It’s a shame, this is something I’m now not able to enjoy in my mornings and afternoons.

I love this tea. I saw it recommended as an iced tea somewhere within the depths of the internet during/before the pandemic (time has no meaning anymore) and I’m hooked. I haven’t been able to find it locally or without international shipping lately so I but the bullet and bought it with Australian shipping. It’s still worth it. I mix this with a less pricey orange penoke tea and it’s excellent iced.

I didn't like this tea at first sip - it wasn't what I had expected and I wasn't impressed. However, as I drank that first cup, I gradually came to recognise all of the components of what is a very complex flavour and by the time I finished we were firm friends. So, while T2's French Earl Grey will never be amongst my favourites, it has certainly earned a permanent place in my tea cupboard.
I like Earl Grey and Lady Grey teas, but was blown over when I had the French Earl Grey during a vacation in Tasmania. It was everything I love about Earl Grey and Lady Grey (i.e. the citrusy tang from bergamot and lemon and orange peel) overlaid with a floral note. I love florals, so this tea was heaven in a cup.On my return home, French Earl Grey was my first purchase! However, it was only after my purchase that I realised I could have bought an Icon Tin of this rather than paper box or pouches which were the only packaging options that showed up when I did a search for French Earl Grey. This was very disappointing as I would have loved having a customised, dedicated container - hence 1 star taken off.PS: if you don’t like florals, you will not like this ... I admit I had low expectations when I first tasted a sample of French Earl Grey. I've always found Earl Grey to be a bit too floral for my taste. This tea is a revelation. The fresh citrus flavour really enhances the traditional Earl Grey taste. The bulk pack is now a regular re-order. T2 blend for the win!
I purchased this tea, untasted, on the recommendation of a friend in Melbourne. I occasionally drink regular Earl Grey tea, but I will be drinking this French Earl Grey on a regular basis. The fruity/flowery flavor from the hibiscus, sunflower petals, rose petals and mallow flowers is subtle and complex. I needn’t have worried that the flavoring would overpower the natural black tea and bergamot flavors. This tea is just perfectly put together. I’ve tried it with and without creamer but find I prefer it plain.I use an Inteye tea strainer that works very well as it has great flow-through and can be used for multiple cups of tea, in teapots as well as single cups. It looks much like the one that’s included with the T2 Teaset that’s sold here. I find I can easily get ... MoreI purchased this tea, untasted, on the recommendation of a friend in Melbourne. It looks much like the one that’s included with the T2 Teaset that’s sold here. I find I can easily get a second cup of tea from these leaves if I let it brew 5 or 6 minutes the second time around. I’ve also tried brewing it in a 300 ml cup, letting it brew a little longer, and it worked just fine.I live in California and worried that it might take forever to get here. But I placed the order on Sunday and it arrived on Friday, a perfectly acceptable amount of time. It was shipped from New Jersey, on the east coast. Communication was great with confirmation emails and notifications when it shipped. Good shopping experience and wonderful teas. (I ordered 2 others as well which I’ll review later,)
I have tried close to 100 different kinds of Earl Grey in the past, but I was not quite satisfied. So I kept searching and searching. Well, I think I can stop searching further now because I finally found the Earl Grey I truly love. Because this Earl Grey is so good, I ordered some more and gave them to my friends and they were impressed. They also love the lovely cans. Thank you very much for making such wonderful Earl Grey🙏‼️
First found you at the T2 boutique in Dartford England. Back home in the States we could buy you through Amazon. Found out you stopped everything in the Northern Hemisphere. No!!! Running out, what to do?!Found your home site in Australia…and you ship! Joy of joys. Our beloved French Earl Grey is back. Too bad we didn’t sample your other teas, as we are happy with our initial choice.Ron & Elizabeth DCentral Illinois. USA.
The product has declined in recent times as the maker has introduced more fines in the mix. These fines may be ok in a tea bag but are NOT welcome in loose tea!!
