Sometimes I want a tea bag and others I like loose leaf. In the case of Irish breakfast I prefer loose leaf tea as I get more bang for my buck. Irish breakfast is a nice mild tea that I can drink all day long.

I like this tea but wish it was more robust. I’m Irish and I expected a good strong “puts hair on your chest” kind of tea.Weird tip - I was accidentally sent some of the decaf all day breakfast and I found mixing half a scoop of it in with a full scoop of Irish breakfast helped the strength!
With the disappearance of a rival Irish leaf tea brand I was worried I’d miss out on that traditional tae láidir dubh taste.Slainte to T2 for getting a blend that tastes better!
I love this tea, it's my go-to every morning. My only complaint is that the big refill bags are unavailable for online orders and have been for ages.
I have to agree with an earlier post about the flavour of T2 Irish Breakfast tea not being what we always expect it to be and believe me my husband knows his Irish Breakfast very well. We have been getting their refill 250g bags for some time . First off I accidently purchased the tea bags by mistake but oh dear the cuppa did not taste like Irish breakfast at all. I messaged T2 about the difference and questioned what was in the tea . I thought they would let me exchange it for the loose leaf at a T 2 shop . It took weeks before I received a reply to the effect that as it was opened It was not returnable.We have just purchased and opened a new refill of loose leaf Irish Breakfast and to our dismay it to has changed like the tea bags. This product was out of stock for a while. I usually buy the foil packs to refill existing tins but then the tins were back in stock first so I bought three. I have only opened the first one and disappointed that it doesn't look or taste like the T2 Irish breakfast tea I'm used to. It looks and taste like English breakfast in my opinion.
I bought this a month ago and so pleased I did. I am a lover of strong tea and a cup of Irish Breakfast really hits the spot for me. For those of you who love strong tea I recommend giving this a try. If you like weak tea this probably is not the tea for you, try something like Melbourne Breakfast instead. Personally, I love Irish Breakfast. I just can't stop drinking it!
April 2023. I have been drinking this tea for over 5 years. I could swear in this latest purchase the formula has changed. There is a floral-ness to it. Like an Earl Grey or Melbourne breakfast. So much so I check the packaging to see if it was what I ordered. It was. Sadly. Hoping this is a manufacturing issue and the next bag is back to the old strong no nonsense flavour.... anyone else have the same experience?
