I used to love the T2 spiced chai. But this new one is really disappointing. Because there's no tea in it, you're basically trying to steep a spoon full of random spices. No matter how you steep it - it's just weak and lacks flavor. I had to add black tea to it just to be able to taste anything.

I was first introduced to this tea by my niece. I enjoyed it so much I ordered some as soon as I got home! I have always enjoyed ginger tea but the mixture of spices in this tea is delicious! Would have liked to have been able to order the tea in the tin on-line but it was only available for click & collect :(

I discovered an exceptional herbal infusion tea from a Scottish island (Sea Chai from Kerrera), but it costs nearly twice as much as Spi Chai, and the company treats ordinary consumers with disdain. So I tried T2 Spi Chai and am very pleased to say, its taste matches that of Kerrera's Sea Chai.

I was so impressed by this sample of Spi Chai! I love the idea of chai with all its Indian spices, especially loose leaf, but am not a fan of black tea at all. This has that later hit of sweetness on the back of the tongue when swallowing, the licorice root, that was a surprise! I absolutely love it but can see other reviewers arent a fan of licorice. I believe its caffiene free? even better for nighttimes. Not at all watery like most other herbal teas. I wouldnt mix it with a milk, cant see it matching the sweetness of the licorice.Id prefer it if T2 sealed in wax paper instead of plastic bags though.
I work in the community as a carer and one of my customers showed me this tea, she allowed me to smell it and that was it, I went home and ordered it, I am not disappointed at all, it smells amazing and tastes delicious, the after taste is lovely too. Will definitely be ordering more.
I actually bought this on accident, I thought I picked up a different tea and initially I didn't like it. Brewing it by itself, I wasn't a fan, it was overly spicy and had no body and no richness. However I found that it was absolutely perfect for mixing with other black teas, to create your own custom chai. My favourite mixes were with Creme Brulee, Lamingon and Melbourne Breakfast. I found that mixing it with a favourite black tea of mine gave it the richness and body that I thought it be lacking.I've also ground the spices up to make my own Garam Masala.I'm sure plenty of people love this by itself, but I only really liked it when I mixed it.
This is delicious! And so fantastic there is no tea leaves, so no caffeine and no resulting palpitations. Only beautiful spices.
Although the mixture has spice, it does not have a tea flavour. And on inspecting the mixture, tea leaves seem to be very limited. I have since added black tea leaf when I make this up, and I am enjoying the final flavour.
I am not sure if I am supposed to grind this tea before using ( directions don’t indicate this) but it is the worst Chai I have ever had. There is no colour to the tea, it numbs my tongue and the taste is terrible. I have tried 3 times to drink it and each time I cannot finish the cup. I actually don’t even want to give it a 1 star. I usually love your teas and have been buying them for years but this one is truly dreadful.
I absolutely love chai teas, including ones which don't use black tea. When I saw this on T2, I immediately bought it, but I couldn't believe how much it lacks flavour. Bold spices are what make chai chai and this had nothing of the sort. I was actually confused. It's as if all the ingredients used were years old and had lost all their strength. I tried brewing it for much longer than normal and using more than the recommended tsp per cup, to no avail. It's not even as if the taste was simply 'delicate'. It just has no flavour (except an aftertaste of jasmine). Any milk at all just overpowers the taste further, I found. The only thing that gives it flavour is if I add my own cardamom pods, anise and cloves.
