There's something extra special about the ceremonial and slow preparation of loose leaf tea that really centres and calms you, unlike coffee.For this tea.I open the tin, sense a waft of jasmine, I scoop out a mini spoonful of leaves, place it in the glass teapot, run the hot water, and watch as the leaves dance. I take another sniff, it smells a bit like honey now. It takes a while to brew, so I only make this when I'm looking to really relax. Tea's the perfect light golden hue now, I pour a smooth stream into my cup, watch the steam unfurl. Blow, close my eyes, take a sip.It's beautiful.

One of my pinnacle favourites.The jasmine is perfectly scented, light and crisp, not overbearing – offering a cleansing break from heavy black teas.The unique silver needle tea leaves are of an exceptional quality (one time I accidentally brewed this tea for over two hours and it still didn't taste bitter), and they are ridiculously easy to clean out from strainers/filters or teapots.Occasionally I like to mix in dried chrysanthemum flowers for an extra special brew.

This has fast become my favorite tea of all time. Its delicate floral taste satisfies those winter chills without the acidity of the green tea version. I’ve worked out the best balance is to brew it for 12 minutes and to ensure you’re not using boiling water (80 degrees is best), or it will become a little acrid at this strength. I make mine at night in my T2 Teamaker before bed and wake up to a beautiful tea at a perfect drinking temperature in my T2 flask (the w.bottle variety retains the most heat). Do yourself a favor and try the white jasmine - so many colleagues at my work have turned onto it and love it too.
