Only one run long run in & combined with the Commando shorts, these things are awesome.Yes, they are meant to be VERY snug around the waist, which meant my 250ml soft flask didn't bounce at all.These shorts are designed to be used with stuff in the waist band.I felt they started to ride up a little when the band was empty. Just chuck in your phone as a minimum & you won't have an issue.

My 3rd pair of the T8 shorts.good capacity with the 4 pockets space around the waist band.easily fits a phone in the front or back pocket and it does not impedethe running or rub.Can also use the small 250ml T8 bottles and carry a litre of fluidThe best feature for me, is the speed in which these shorts dry, great for an over night rinse on multi day missions.These are usually worn with the Very light weight T8 undies, however work equally well over compression shorts
