Purchased this toolbox about 12 months ago. The latches broke the plastic ridges they are supposed to catch to, can't now be latched closed.

As Doug also mentioned the walls of this toolbox have a bit of flex. I have to nudge things around until the lift-out carry tray "pops" into position before I can close the toolbox. With that issue noted, it's pretty good for the price. The storage in the lid is useful and the lift-out carry tray is really spacious. Tactix also make a similar 507mm toolbox which might be the better pick. The 507mm model is more solid and though it's not as long, it's a bit taller so the capacity isn't very different.

I have 8 of these for organizing the tools in the shed, they stack 2 per shelf for my 2x2m longspan shelving and I can fit 6 wide, 2 high (so 12) per shelf. The handles may not handle a super heavy load but I've got them loaded with some heavy tools and they seem to be ok so far. They are an amazing price for what they are, comparable products are $50+. I will be buying more in the future.
Purchased to house my Car Buffer and Accessories~ Strong and Light~Perfect
The central panel flexes outwards over time making it hard to shut, and the top panels are prone to popping open. Fine for light use.
Good value given the price, but it doesn't hold its shape when open so the tray does not tend to fit straight back in without wriggling / adjustment.
The latch moulding on the lid on one side of one of these boxes cracked, admittedly after some accidental rough treatment (my son is a landscape builder). The plastic on this part of the lid is quite thin though, compared to the rest of the box and the tray, which is odd given the strength of the steel latches and hinges. I repaired the crack with plastic glue and fixed polyethylene patches behind the latches on the inside of the lid on both sides. This doubled the thickness of the plastic behind the latch hook and the damaged side is working normally again (when the hook cracks the steel latch won't stay hooked on that side and the loaded box tends to fall open when picked up). Qualified recommendation on this product. Qualified recommendation on this product. The same model with a grey rather than black lid is on a well known online retailer's site - I certainly wouldn't be paying A$74 for it , plus shipping.
