Easy to carry. Easy to inflate and deflate. Good room for two adults. Not much storage. Good for casual paddling but not long trips.

If you’re taking this on salt water, you HAVE to wash the fabric thoroughly, otherwise the thing is going to fall apart in a season. That’s what salt water does. But that means you need to blow it back up to properly dry it. But to properly maintain this, especially if you’re going to be using it in salt water, you need a small yard or garage space to properly clean and thoroughly dry it. Im my opinion, might as well get a small light-weight kayak if you have that space and get a roof rack for your car. Of course, if you want to hike this in to hard-to-access water, or even fly with it (I took it to Hawaii from the Pacific Northwest), it’s great. It’s easy to blow up and break down. That’s the best reason for this product to exist. To hike it into places.But if you’re taking it to easy to access places, and don’t have the space, climate, or time to properly dry and store this, I doubt it will last more than a couple years. I would never recommend it for people in warm climates in mostly salt water.

Excellent kayak

I scored this kayak at a REI garage sale. Just used for first time and it is great! 10 min setup/breakdown. Is a bit heavy in backpack but it’s a big kayak. Definitely easy enough for one adult person to manage. I don’t have anything to compare this to but great first experience.

Great inflatable, needs a couple improvements

This is a really solid inflatable that inflates easily (<10 min), tracks well (thanks to 3 removable fins), and packs easily into a roomy carrying pack. That said, two improvements are urgently needed.First, the pack needs a minor but SERIOUS zipper upgrade. The plastic zippers break quite easily. On my first use of this pack one of the two zippers snapped before I moved it a single centimeter. Like I said, this is a roomy carrying pack, so zipping up when there's zero torque applied to the zipper and zero pressure applied to the pack's fabric should never break the zipper. I'd consider this a very serious issue since the pack is a critical component for an inflatable like this - you really don't want to be stuck somewhere, unable to carry out your kayak. At minimum, Tahe needs to outfit the pack with far more durable zipper pulls, not the cheap plastic ones currently being used. If the zipper had broken after 50+ uses or broke because I hadn't correctly packed up the kayak according to Tahe's video instruction, I'd simply pay $60-$75 to get a new, more durable zipper installed, but this happened on my first use so I'm pretty disappointed.Second, the fins can be incredibly difficult to remove. On the one hand the fins fit very securely and are easy to install. However, you'll want to carry a small coin or something similarly small/narrow and dull to help remove the fins because the locking mechanism is so tight that your fingers might not be strong enough to pull/push the locking mechanism open (I'm a climber, so I'm not lacking finger strength here!). This is something that should arguably be redesigned despite how challenging it is to do that for a component like this.Finally, I should mention that aside from those flaws, this is a complete, well thought-out package. As with any inflatable made from similar materials, it'll require some dry-out time, so the easily removable floor insert is a really nice feature! It's roomy enough for two average height adults (5'10") and offers decent storage space for a single adult without losing it all when you're paddling with two. What's more, the pump works quickly and comes with a handy pressure gauge so you don't over-inflate the sections Tahe specifies for lower pressure (e.g., floor and seats). Finally, the paddles were much nicer than I expected and made paddling this craft all the more enjoyable.Overall, I recommend the product but I think most prospective customers might want to wait for the next version in hopes that the aforementioned flaws get remedied by Tahe.

Versatile Inflatable Kayak

We picked this up over the weekend & took it out this week. It’s a really good boat that can really handle 2 paddlers. But when we tried it as a single it was very good. It tracked surprisingly well for an inflatable. As a double I’ll t’s a bit cramped & we were right at the weight limit (330#’s).But it’s very easy to set up. We used an electric pump for the floor & sides and finished with the provided hand pump. Seats were quite comfortable but the back support while 2 of us were paddling was only adequate.It will take some time to put up dry as I had to take the floor out and leave it in the sun for a few hours but not difficult. It fits well in the backpack and the fact that the whole package ( kayak, paddles, and pump) all fit in the back pack is very ... MoreWe picked this up over the weekend & took it out this week.
