I adore the Islays, but this single malt might be the greatest of all of them. It is flawless, in a word. Perfect symmetry. Rich and substantial flavor that is not overpowering. Very complicated, but not boastful of it. Every every gulp is delightful. It's incredible that anything could be as good as Talisker, but Talisker just so happens to be. To be able to appreciate and savor this fine Scotch makes me feel quite fortunate.

I rate this at 91/100. An unbelievably good young dram was produced by Talisker. It has a robust body, is heavy on the palate, and has notes of honey, pepper, and a little sweetness for a 10-year-old whisky. Long and peppery aftertaste. It's quite good. How wonderful the older Talisker products are, I have no idea. Excellent distillery!

This is well balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, light smoke, peat, and salinity. It's closer to Lagavulin in terms of peatiness than Ardbeg and Laphroaig. Pro tip: If it's too smokey or peaty, wait five minutes before taking another taste. You'll notice that it becomes sweeter. This can be done numerous times. If I could, I'd give it a 4.5, but I'll round it down because I rounded up for the somewhat superior distiller's edition.

I created a new Tipxy account just to write a review for this malt because the reviews on this site were so abhorrent. Since this whiskey is so well-balanced, newbies wishing for a peaty experience don't have to take on the challenge of an Islay peat-bomb. I am aware that saying this may label me as a rookie in the malt world. I honestly get excited when I think of my next dram.
It appears to be pale orange in color and a little thicker than the legs' rapid movement would imply.Nose: Peat. Without a doubt, peat. I would compare this to Laphroaig to show the distinction between peat and smoke. While Laphroaig is peaty, this is much brighter and "cleaner," if you will. There is a clear difference between this and Islays with a stronger brine and saltwater presence. The nose is clean and has some freshly cracked white pepper in the background.Taste - That slight punch gradually fades away as the nearly sweet greens are introduced. The strength of the pepper and spice floods the mouth. Although it is not overbearing, it makes itself known. Even though I adore Laphroaig and Ardbeg single-malt Islay Scotches, this is among the most flavorful and well-rounded Islay Scotches I've ever experienced. Rich in smoke and peat but not overpowering. quite intricate. Become more appreciative of it with each glass. Is it possible that this blend of Highland and Islay is virtually perfect? Make sure to put it on your bucket list if you haven't tried it yet. Definitely worth the cost!
This malt immediately won my favor. It has a background of smoke that is far enough away to accommodate the malt, spices, and small amount of seaweed. After all, this scotch is from an island. You'll be astounded at its taste and complexity, as I've read elsewhere, if you take a little of this malt, put it in a glass, add a little water, cover the glass, and come back in 30 minutes. This one is wonderful!
What I value most in a Scotch is at its very core—the Taliskers. I find a wonderful mix of delicate flavors and a strong, smoky finish, which, when combined, give the sense of aggressive smoothness, without overstating it. In the Talisker line, the 10-year is the finest investment. Although the 10-year is less expensive, the 18-year is richer, mellower, and more subdued. The Talisker 10-year is always enjoyable and affordable, regardless of the situation or mood.
Talisker 10 and Talisker Storm are two beers that I frequently drink. It's a really good whisky. Like its Islay cousins, it features hints of smoke and peat. It stands out since it is the only whisky produced on lovely Skye, and it has a fresh nose with overtones of apple and smoke. The first tongue is powerful, sonorous, and incredibly smooth. The finish is moderate to long, so take time to enjoy it by taking slow, deep breaths while exhaling through your nose and reflecting on one of the most stunning places on earth.
A good Scotch that gets even better when you learn that it is only a 10 year old. It is best to drink Lagavulin 16 after dinner. It exhibits a maturity for a 10 year old that many 12 to 15 year olds struggle to achieve. You'll feel as though you're actually on the Isle of Skye thanks to the plenty of pepper and bite, the sweet fruity scent, and the light salt-water base. a great deal of energy. Sharp cheeses and fruit go nicely with a fantastic pre-dinner Scotch.
