Another almost shake and bake from Tamiya. Good cockpit detail, fuselage and wing fit. Otherwise very good detail over all, which is what you get from Tamiya. BUT the engine SUCKS, where is the detail. The wiring and piping is missing. Not good! I am going to see og I can fit the Eduard bf 109g6 engine in it.

It has all the virtues we came to expect from a Tamiya model. But it does bring some frustration, since Tamiya missed the opportunity to produce the ultimate 109G in 1/48 scale: - formation lights in the wing tips are solid plastic, while the Zvzeda 109G has them in clear plastic - tail wheel is a single piece ( fork + wheel in one single piece ) - elevators are not separated from the stabilizers - footstep in the fuselage, close to the wingroot, is recessed: should be flush with the fuselage skin Having said that, it is my favourite 1/48 109 G, and I will certaingly build more than one.

Recommended for at least intermediate level builders. Instructions are clear and concise, but there are a lot of small intricate peices to fit together. You need some decent paints, panel washes etc to make this model really shine.

In a market overflowing with current and out of production kits covering nearly all the 109 variants, this is arguably the best in 48th scale, even better than Eduards beauties. The casting quality is second to none and the detail impressive. Surface markings are crisp and subtle. Instructions come with a brief history of the aircraft which I think all kits should have. Lots of aftermarket parts are available especially from Eduard, which I think shows their high regard for this kit
Incredible fit. Fantastic surface detail. Options for open or closed cowling superb. Tamiya just keeps getting better.
This and the Spitfire Mk.1 are newly tooled kits from Tamiya. The fit and detail are up to the usual Tamiya high standard. No filler was needed in the join lines.
Have 1:25 model of the same mark. The same excellence of moulding and construction. Fit also of quality. Highly recommend. I also commend Wonderland for their services.
This is a wonderful model kit goes together without a issue . Tamiya had added some detail to the model that has to be removed or filled with putty to make the box art version
What can i say three 1/48 kits in one box. If you like ww1 airplanes and modelling you will love this. Plenty of work here so maybe not for the beginner modeller. Extra's in the box are a nice touch. Highly Recommended
its a great model of the me109g fighter in 1.48 scale, its well detailed parts and options to make it into what version that you are building, it has a detailed pilot figure and comes with weapons and fuel cell, depending on which markings that you are making for which aircraft unit used the aircraft at the time of the war period that it would take part in and who flew the aircraft at the scene of the conflict of the war, you get 3 different decal options for 3 different aircrafts that are used by their pilots.
